Halloween is an exciting time for kids and families, and Hong Kong offers a variety of places where trick-or-treating can be a memorable experience. From residential areas rich in community spirit to themed events, here’s a guide to some of the best spots for trick-or-treating in Hong Kong.

Where can kids trick-or-treat in Hong Kong?
On 31 October, families still do door-to-door rounds in Tai Po, Clearwater Bay, Happy Valley, The Peak, and Mid-Levels along MacDonnell, Conduit and Robinson Roads. Only knock where lights and decorations are up. For a set trail, Hong Kong Disneyland’s Halloween Time runs 18 September to 1 November 2026, with candy stops in Tomorrowland, Fantasyland, Toy Story Land and Mystic Point.
Is trick-or-treating safe in Hong Kong neighbourhoods?
Stick to estates and streets that already celebrate, go before dark with an adult, and skip unmarked towers. Mid-Levels steps are hard with a buggy, so Tai Po and Clearwater Bay are easier for younger kids. Carry a torch, skip open sweets if you are unsure, and check building chats before you promise a full loop.
Do we need tickets for Disney or a street party?
Disneyland trick-or-treat is included with park admission, not a separate ticket. Grab the pumpkin candy bag and dress up. Hong Kong Halloween Month also has street parties in Central, Kai Tak, Lan Kwai Fong, Mong Kok and Tsim Sha Tsui East on 17, 24 and 31 October 2026. Those are crowded, so go early with older kids.
What should we pack for trick-or-treat night?
Use a small bucket, closed shoes and a costume that works on escalators. Face paint beats a mask for toddlers who need to see. Spare wipes and a nut-free snack help if a bag is not suitable. Costume shops and face paint are in our Halloween costume guide.
What if we want spooky fun without knocking on doors?

OCEAN PARK: Bulu Boo Trick-Or-Treat Party In Aberdeen
Daytime Candy Games Beside The Grave Rave HauntsOcean Park Halloween Fest 2026, The Grave Rave, runs to 1 November, and the family candy bit is JHC Presents: Bulu Boo Trick-or-Treat Party, with mini-games, Pumpkin Pals and giveaways, plus Trick or Roll. Do this in the daytime. The night haunts, including Under the Castle and the Triple Terror houses, are a different ticket and several have age limits. General admission is HK$538 for ages 12 and up and HK$269 for ages 3 to 11. The night experiences run on selected evenings from 9 October. HONG KONG DISNEYLAND: Villain Trick-Or-Treat Trail On Lantau
Mickey Pumpkin Bags And Candy Stations Across The ParkDisney Halloween Time 2026 runs from 18 September to 1 November under Party Like a Villain, and the trick-or-treat trail is included with park admission. Pick up the Mickey pumpkin-head bag and work the candy stations in Tomorrowland, Fantasyland, Toy Story Land and Mystic Point. Cast members in character hand out the sweets, and Disney has said the stations cover more of the park than last year. Maleficent’s takeover and Mickey’s Happy Halloween Adventure are the shows. DISCOVERY BAY: Halloween Night Market And Costume Parade
A 31 October Candy Circuit At DB Plaza And DB NorthDiscovery Bay is the closest Hong Kong gets to a town Halloween. Spooky Chills runs 10 October to 1 November at DB Plaza and DB North, with photo spots lit from 5.30pm. On 31 October the Halloween Night Market takes the open piazza from 2pm to 9pm, and the first Cosplay Parade and Costume Contest runs 3pm to 5pm, with a trick-or-treat element for finalists. Complimentary buses and ferries run on DB Fun Day. Bark & Bounce at DB North is the dog version on 31 October and 1 November. It is the one to book if you want a street, not a turnstile.

MARITIME SQUARE: Family Costume Trail In Tsing Yi
A UFO Takeover And Weekend Alien Fly-Bys For Younger KidsMaritime Square is not a door-knock, but it is the mall trail that suits younger children in 2026. The Tsing Yi centre runs an alien Halloween from 5 October to 1 November, with a 6-metre UFO in phase one and a landing spot on the phase-two podium garden. UFO drones fly the atrium on 18, 25 and 31 October. Treat it as a costume photo circuit and a sweet stop, and ask guest services that week whether shops are handing out candy. The five MTR malls are also running a badge hunt from 5 October to 1 November.
