Mark your calendars! Clockenflap is back in Hong Kong after a very long (3-year!) hiatus for a fun weekend on March 3-5! This family-friendly event is jam-packed so expect an amazing lineup of musical performances, theatre, arts, workshops and more!
Just like previous years, Clockenflap will be set in a spectacular outdoor venue on the Central Harbourfront and feature multiple stages, many F&B outlets, and an eclectic lineup of international, regional and local acts!
The full lineup of artists has finally been announced and famed UK indie rockers The Arctic Monkeys will be headlining on Friday! Other noteworthy Friday performances are French synth-rockers Phoenix. Saturday is jam-packed and sees the debut in Hong Kong of Swedish indie-pop superstars The Cardigans as well as Norwegian folk-pop duo Kings of Convenience. Canto-rock giants KOLOR will also perform on Saturday, as well as innovative and up-and-coming artists like American songstress Sasha Alex Sloan and French multi-instrumentalist FKJ.
US hip-hop legends Wu-Tang Clan and London-based indie folk band Bombay Bicycle Club (who headlined Clockenflap in 2011) will be performing on Sunday, as well as German electronic supergroup Moderat, Japanese experimental rock masters MONO and innovative British jazz quintet Ezra Collective, and many many more!
As the quintessential Hong Kong family-friendly event, kids are not forgotten at Clockenflap! Alongside the amazing musical performances and art displays, there will be puppet shows at the Treasure Chest Theatre, a "Drum Jam", as well as a soothing sonic exploration with I is One and much more.
A full arts program also awaits Clockenflap festival-goers, with Instagrammable attractions and audiovisual experiences. Pause.Record.Play will give you the chance to record your feelings and thoughts onto cassette tapes and listen to others' as well. There will be abstract and psychedelic films from Relentless Melt, and you'll also have the chance to try your hand at modeling with Memorabilia Mobile. There will be street art by Caratoes and Parents Parents and of course, Birdmen will provide ample photo opportunities for the whole family.
