Golden tickets out, everyone! Charlie and the Chocolate Factory: The Musical is in town, and The Peninsula Hong Kong has gone all out to celebrate. From Tuesday, November 10 to Thursday, December 10, 2026, Felix is serving a limited-edition Charlie and the Chocolate Factory afternoon tea, and it’s as whimsical as you’d hope.

The tiers mix savoury bites with chocolate-heavy sweets inspired by Roald Dahl’s story, including Golden Ticket chocolate bars and Wonka-style pastries. Each guest gets a themed cocktail or mocktail. If the grown-ups want to go full Wonka, there’s an upgrade to free-flow Champagne and selected drinks.
The fun doesn’t stop at the tea stand. There’s a chocolate fountain with seasonal dips, a blind chocolate tasting (who can guess the flavour?) and a mendiant hammering station where little hands can smash chocolate to bits, and that’s allowed. It all happens 28 floors up, with sweeping views of Victoria Harbour.
Then there’s the view. Felix sits on the 28th floor, and its floor-to-ceiling windows look straight across Victoria Harbour to the Hong Kong Island skyline. Boats slide past below and the city spreads out in every direction. The room was designed by Philippe Starck and is just as fun as the menu. Even the men’s restroom has a harbour view!
That makes it a great pick for out-of-towners, too. Visiting family, holiday guests, or first-timers to Hong Kong get a famous harbour view, a stop at one of the city’s grandest hotels (The Peninsula has been on Salisbury Road since 1928) and a chocolatey treat, all in one afternoon.
Two seatings run daily, 1pm–3pm and 3:30pm–5:30pm. It’s HK$850 per person plus 10% service charge, and the dress code is smart casual.
