This year’s Spring Fest at DPAC is raising the bar with its exciting new theme, "Traditions Reimagined: The Legend of the Serpents." Set in a stunning Chinese palace-inspired stage, this production brings a fresh twist and takes place in the palace of Empress Lin, who’s navigating the challenge of blending ancient traditions with new visions for her New Year celebrations. Audiences will be treated to an awe-inspiring lion dance, powerful drumbeats, and beautiful traditional music from instruments like the guzheng and erhu, all fused with contemporary dance. At the heart of the performance is the mesmerizing legend of the serpents, culminating in the breathtaking Serpent Dance, which beautifully symbolizes unity, hope, and the promise of new beginnings—perfect for the Lunar New Year!
