What are the best Halloween events for kids in KL in 2026?
Start with Halloween Night Camp at The Young Explorer, 1 Mont Kiara, on 24, 30 and 31 October (ages 3 to 12, pizza making, treasure hunt and a pumpkin piñata, from RM159). On 31 October, Tropicana Golf & Country Resort runs a kids party with buffet, magic show, face painting and a costume contest. Sunway Pyramid Ice hosts a costume skate on 24 October for RM68, and Publika’s Sweet Little Spooks runs 23 October to 1 November.
How much does a kids Halloween party in Kuala Lumpur cost?
Budget about RM15 for LaLaport Bukit Bintang’s costume contest on 31 October (ages 4 to 12, goodie bag included), RM30 for Genting’s all-ages Spookadilly trail, RM35 per child for the sensory-friendly session at The Campus Ampang, RM68 at Sunway Pyramid Ice, RM84 for kids and RM138 for adults at Tropicana, and RM159 for the Mont Kiara night camp.

Is Nights of Fright at Sunway Lagoon safe for young kids?
No. Nights of Fright 12: Ape-ocalypse runs Friday to Sunday until 7 November, from RM138, and is built for teens and adults, with haunted houses and scare zones. Little Steps recommends 13 and up.
Where can we trick or treat with kids in KL this Halloween?
Sweet Little Spooks at Publika runs from 23 October to 1 November. Bloomsvale Shopping Gallery has trick-or-treat on 31 October, VERVE Shops Mont Kiara celebrates on 24 October, and LaLaport Bukit Bintang holds its contest from 2pm to 3pm on 31 October.

When should we go to The Haunted Highlands if we have young kids?
The Haunted Highlands runs 1 October to 1 November 2026 at Resorts World Genting, about an hour from KL. Take children to Spookadilly x Kisah Bawah Tanah (RM30, adult supervision required, under-3s free, last entry 10pm).
Skip The Echo Asylum if your child is under 13.

The Young Explorer is hosting a Halloween Night Camp at its indoor adventure gym in 1 Mont Kiara for children aged 3 to 12. It's billed as a Parents' Night Out, with a costume show-off, pizza making, cookie decorating, piñata hitting, carnival games, a treasure hunt for prizes and gym play.
Tropicana Golf & Country Resort is hosting a kids' Halloween party on October 31 with a buffet dinner, a clown and magic show, balloon making, face painting, and a costume contest. An early bird group deal is available for bookings made before October 20.
Sunway Pyramid Ice is hosting Halloween Party on Ice 2026 on October 24 with skating, games and prizes, a best costume contest, a free "Blood Bag" drink and refreshments. Ticket holders also stand a chance to win tickets to Nights of Fright at Sunway Lagoon.
Publika is hosting Sweet Little Spooks, a ten-day Halloween celebration with a pop-up market, trick-or-treating, Halloween games, workshops and performances, plus shopping rewards. Check Publika's Instagram for daily activities and times.
Resorts World Genting is hosting The Haunted Highlands 2026 at Skytropolis, about an hour's drive from KL. The family option is Spookadilly x Kisah Bawah Tanah, a crossover with the Malaysian animated series, with five zones and a rescue-mission storyline. It's open to all ages, and exclusive merchandise, including blind box figurines, is sold on site.
The Echo Asylum haunted house at the same event is for ages 13 and up only (see our grown-ups section below).

Nights of Fright 12: Ape-ocalypse at Sunway Lagoon
Sunway Lagoon's Halloween event is back for its 12th edition with eight haunted houses, a haunted theatre, three scare zones and 11 thrill rides. Highlights include the Planet of the Apes meets Mad Max "Ape-ocalypse", Yokai Road, Return to Silent Hill and the Pontianak vs Pocong immersive theatre show. Hauntu at The LINC KL and The Curve PJ
Hauntu is an immersive haunted house experience with live actors, where your group's choices shape the story. It runs for about 60 minutes in groups of 2 to 10. The LINC KL hosts The Haunted Hotel, set in a 1950s colonial-era hotel, and until November 1 adds a limited-time chapter, EP1: The Thief, inspired by the Viu series Dia Perempuan Sialan. The Curve PJ hosts The Mystical Dance Academy, set in a traditional Malay dance academy. Children under 7 are not allowed in, ages 8 to 14 must be accompanied by an adult, and it's not recommended for anyone pregnant or with a heart condition.
The Echo Asylum at The Haunted Highlands, Resorts World Genting
The Echo Asylum is a 20,000 sq ft haunted house set in a former 1950s mental hospital, for ages 13 and up only. The Double the Fear ticket covers both haunted houses at The Haunted Highlands, and the Horror Adventure ticket adds a standard Genting SkyWorlds Theme Park ticket.
