Ruang Publik Terbuka Ramah Anak (RPTRA) or Public Open Spaces for Children is the new exciting program from Jakarta Government. Currently, there are 70 RPTRA spaces across Jakarta. The biggest one is in Kalijodo, West Jakarta. Here, kids are allowed to roam free and safe! They can also use the skate park, plus there will be occasional art workshop decorating the spaces' walls coached by local talented artists. All locations are equipped with toilets, sinks, indoor area, and library. Students are also welcomed to utilize the spaces for team sports or performance arts rehearsal. And, everything is free of charge!

Every Sunday from 6 am to 11 am, some roads around Jakarta are closed to all private cars, to provide space for the public to walk, jog, cycle and do other activities. Horse Back Riding is a perfect weekend activity in Jakarta. They offer pony rides, lungeing lessons, group lessons, and riding camps.
