Now open at Kowloon Walled City Park, ‘Kowloon Walled City: A Cinematic Journey’ is a unique movie set exhibition that invites visitors to experience the gripping atmosphere of the legendary Kowloon Walled City through the lens of Hong Kong cinema.
The open-air exhibition recreates over 50 stunning movie sets from the award-winning film Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In. These meticulously crafted scenes have been rebuilt on the original site of the former Walled City, offering visitors an immersive look into daily life within one of the most iconic urban enclaves in history.
Highlights include:
- Life-size sets depicting the dense, chaotic architecture of the Walled City
- Immersive projections simulating airplanes flying low overhead
- Traditional craft elements and design details showcasing Hong Kong’s film industry expertise
Presented by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency, this free exhibition not only honors local filmmaking talent but also revives the spirit of a place that once stood as a symbol of resilience, survival, and community.
