Merry Balloon Parade Hong Kong 2026: Schedule, Location & Ticket Info

Hong Kong’s giant cartoon balloon parade is back! After its first outing in January 2026, the Merry Balloon Parade returns on Sunday, December 27, 2026, this time at Kai Tak Sports Park. It’s part of the Merry Balloon Hong Kong festival, which also includes Merry Balloon Park. Huge helium balloons of popular characters will float through the area, including Cookie Monster and Snoopy, who are both coming back. More characters will be announced soon.

Parade Schedule

The 2026 route and session times haven’t been announced yet. Last year’s parade had two sessions on the same day:

• Morning session: 11:30am – 1:00pm (entry 9:30am – 11:00am)
• Afternoon session: 2:00pm – 4:00pm (entry 1:00pm – 1:30pm)

How to Get Tickets

Ticket details for 2026 are still to come. Last year, over 10,000 free Spectator Zone tickets were released on Klook a few days before the parade. They went quickly, so keep an eye on this page and Merry Balloon Hong Kong’s Instagram for the release date.

Make a Day of It at Merry Balloon Park

Parade day is also the last day of Merry Balloon Park (December 18–27, 2026), which takes over East Village at Kai Tak Sports Park. It has game booths themed on popular characters, snack stalls, giant inflatables and pop-up stores. You can visit the park and watch the parade on the same trip.

Good to Know (based on last year’s rules)

• Arrive early: Last year, ticket holders had to reach their Spectator Zone entrance at least 30 minutes before their session. Latecomers were only let in when it was suitable.
• Crowd control: The organizer may use crowd control measures depending on the situation on the day.
• Getting there: Kai Tak Sports Park is about a 10-minute walk from Kai Tak and Sung Wong Toi MTR stations on the Tuen Ma Line.
• Expect crowds: It’s a Sunday and the park’s final day, so the area is likely to be busy.
