Singapore’s Hottest New Bars You Need to Visit In 2026

Discover The Trendiest Spots For Drinks And vibes In The Lion City

pink cocktail sitting on a wooden bar in Singapore Little Steps
Singapore’s bar scene has never been short of ambition. But 2026 feels like a step up. The new bars are not just well-designed rooms with decent drink menus. They are fully thought-through experiences, each with a clear point of view. There’s a champagne speakeasy hiding behind a focaccia deli on Amoy Street. A Japanese-lifestyle bar that changes its cocktail menu with the seasons. A Korean cocktail dining bar built around culture, craft, and the joy of communal drinking. And a neighbourhood wine spot on Robertson Quay that simply does what it does without any fuss. Whether you are after something intimate and atmospheric or a lively night out with friends, the options are better than ever. Here is a round-up of the best new bars in Singapore worth visiting in 2026, plus one returning favourite with a bold new menu.
  • Bartenders of Pony drinks on the counter in Singapore, Little Steps

    BOP (Bartenders Of Pony)

Korean Spirits, Soul Food, And A Bar That Actually Has Something To Say

If you love Korean culture, good drinking, and cocktails that actually tell a story, BOP belongs on your radar. Sitting in the heart of Tanjong Pagar, BOP is the first fully independent concept from Uno Jang, the creative director behind some of Singapore's most celebrated bar experiences, and part of the wider Jigger & Pony Group.

The bar is built around three Korean values: Kki (craft), Jeong (human warmth), and Heung (joyful energy). You feel all three the moment you walk in. The debut menu features 12 signature cocktails inspired by Korean pop culture and everyday drinking rituals, spotlighting traditional spirits like soju, makgeolli, and cheongju alongside flavours of rice, perilla, seaweed, and spice. There's also a food menu worth sticking around for - the fried chicken has already earned its own reputation.

This is Korean drinking culture done with real intention. Not a gimmick. Not a trend. Just a bar that knows exactly what it wants to be, and pulls it off beautifully.

  • Pop City x Pony

Japan Called. It Wants You To Stay For One More Round.

Pop City is one of the most talked-about bar openings of late 2025, and the buzz shows no signs of slowing heading into 2026. Also from the Jigger & Pony Group, this Japanese-lifestyle cocktail bar is something genuinely different; a cultural living room that draws from the music, fashion, and creative subcultures shaping modern Japan.

The space is split into four distinct zones - the craft-focused Byōbu Bar, the lively Tasting Commons, the intimate Bar Mixtape, and the relaxed After Hours Salon. Each corner feels considered.

The drinks menu is equally thoughtful. Sixteen signature cocktails are divided into two categories: POP (expressive, rhythmic, playful) and CITY (structured, refined, quietly confident). Then there's Seasons in Motion, a rolling menu of two new cocktails every month, each inspired by Japan's 24 solar terms. Bar Manager Sylvia Chong and Principal Bartender Chris Foo lead the programme.

Happy hour runs from 5:30 pm to 8 pm daily. Get in early.

  • Internal view of The Champagnery showing pink seating and black and white flooring

    The Champagnery

Push Open The Red Door. There's Champagne On The Other Side.

You walk into a focaccia deli on Amoy Street. You pass the foccacia and the mortadella. Then you push open a red door, and everything changes. Welcome to The Champagnery, a champagne-inspired speakeasy tucked behind Mamma Mia Focaccia, and one of the most charming bar concepts to open in Singapore.

Here, the vision is simple but considered - champagne as an everyday pleasure, not a special-occasion status symbol. The champagne list is impressive, including iconic names to lesser-known grower selections picked out by the knowledgeable team.

The space is dressed in wood, plush velvet, and moody lighting. Erin Khan, former director of music at iconic venues including Kyo, oversees the sound, shifting from elegant early-evening playlists to house, R&B, and soul-house as the night deepens.

There's also a current promotion worth knowing about. The After Five runs from 5 pm to 8 pm daily with 20% off your entire bill. Ladies can also register for the Wednesday Soirée, where 50 guestlist spots earn complimentary free-flow bubbles from 8 pm to 11 pm.

    The Champagnery, 94 Amoy Street, #01-02, Singapore 069914, +65 8481 8626, @thechampagnery.sg

  • Gaudí Room at Carlitos

Dinner At Carlitos Was Already Good. Now There's A Bar Out Back.

Carlitos has been a Joo Chiat favourite since it opened, built on the vision of Barcelona-born chef Carlos Montobbio of Esquina and chef Antonio Miscellaneo of La Bottega, backed by the Ebb & Flow Group and Unlisted Collection.

The name means "little Carlos" in Spanish, and it has quickly become one of the east side's most beloved neighbourhood restaurants.

Now, for its first anniversary, Carlitos has added something special, the Gaudí Room. Hidden at the back of the restaurant, this intimate 23-seater speakeasy takes its name and spirit from Antoni Gaudí, the iconic Catalan architect known for his organic, whimsical style. The room is warmly lit and artistically considered, which makes it a natural contrast to the lively energy of the tapas bar out front.

The cocktail menu leans into creative twists on classic recipes. Think the Cafe de la Rambla, a miso-and-bread spin on the espresso martini with Tia Maria, or the La Sagrada Paloma for something punchy. The drinks are easy to sip and made for long, unhurried evenings in Joo Chiat. If you haven't eaten at Carlitos before, do yourself a favour and book dinner first.

  • ABODE

Skyline Views, Great Cocktails, And Not A Single Dollar In Service Charge

By day, it's POUT Café, a rooftop spot in Clarke Quay known for honeycomb lattes and coconut matcha. But after the sun goes down, the space transforms into ABODE, a cosy rooftop bar with some of the most affordable cocktails in the area and views that could genuinely make you forget what you were worrying about.

Perched on the sixth floor of 50 South Bridge Road, ABODE offers both indoor and outdoor seating, with the outdoor section offering views of a clear stretch of the Singapore skyline, including the Flyer and Marina Bay Sands. On a good evening, with a light breeze and warm lighting, it's hard to beat.

The cocktail menu is a highlights reel of well-crafted, accessible drinks, all priced at SG$19 nett. Favourites include the LKY Ondeh (dark rum, green banana, pandan, coconut, citrus) and the PBJ Old Fashioned. Happy hour runs from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm daily, with cocktails at SG$14 each. The vibe is relaxed, unpretentious, and genuinely easy,  which, in a city full of bars trying to impress, is a quality that shouldn't be underestimated. No service charge. No fuss. Just good drinks and a great view.

  • white wine being poured into a glass at Barely Aged In Singapore Little Steps

    Barely Aged

Good Wine, Good Cheese, Zero Pretension

Barely Aged is a neighbourhood wine and cheese destination at Robertson Quay that does exactly what it says, nothing too showy, just good wine, good cheese, and a relaxed space to enjoy both. It's the kind of place you find yourself coming back to, not because it's trying to impress, but because it's simply comfortable and really well done.

The venue stocks a wide selection of bottles across all styles, from sparkling, white, red, rosé, orange, and natural, as well as cocktails developed in collaboration with Dirty Sips. Over 30 wines are available by the glass for dine-in, with personalised cheese and charcuterie boards built to order.

The retail side of the business is equally solid. Bottles are available for purchase and take-home, making this a genuinely useful spot for wine lovers who want to drink well without paying restaurant mark-ups. It also has a private event space for gatherings of up to 40 guests, which makes it a strong option for birthdays and catch-ups.

Open Tuesday to Sunday from 3 pm, it's one of the more civilised afternoon options in Robertson Quay. Wine, cheese, and riverside air -  there are worse ways to spend an afternoon.

    Barely Aged, 95 Robertson Quay, #01-17, Singapore 238256, https://barelyaged.sg/

  • Bar Somma

Order A Cocktail Before 7:30pm. Trust Us.

Bar Somma sits on the fourth floor of New Bahru, tucked beside the fine-dining Italian restaurant Somma by celebrated Puglian chef Mirko Febbrile and The Lo & Behold Group. Where the restaurant is considered formal, the bar is relaxed. But neither is an afterthought.

The space is striking with a long Italian travertine marble counter running the length of the bar, flanked by plush pink lounge sofas, soft golden lighting, and a 6.5-metre ceramic wall installation by Puglian artist Vincenzo Del Monaco, handmade across 230 tiles. It is a beautiful room.

Bar Manager Mel Chavez, formerly of Smoke & Mirrors, leads the cocktail programme. The focus is on Italian-inspired classics refreshed with creative technique and features Negronis, Martinis, and Spritzes, each elevated by Chavez's 20 years of experience and access to Chef Mirko's in-house test kitchen. The food at Bar Somma is also not to be overlooked - fried oyster mushrooms and handmade pasta all feature.

Golden Hour runs from 6 pm to 7:30 pm. Order before 7:30 pm, and your first cocktail comes with carbonara and is a very good reason to show up on time.

    Bar Somma, 46 Kim Yam Road, #04-02A New Bahru, Singapore 239351, +65 9756 1590, https://www.somma.world/bar

  • drink being prepared at Confession Room Singapore Little Steps

    Confession Room

A CBD Bar That Makes You Want To Stay Longer

Confession Room is not a bar trying to be anything other than what it is,  an intimate, moodily designed space where you can settle in, order something well-made, and have a genuinely good evening. The idea is that you come here to unburden yourself through conversation, good cocktails, and the kind of unhurried atmosphere that makes a weeknight feel like a real occasion.

Located at 25A Boon Tat Street in the CBD, it's a great option for after-work drinks. The cocktail menu features thoughtfully named drinks with creative flavour combinations, and the food menu supports a longer evening out. The space itself is intimate and considered, with a sense of theatre that doesn't tip into self-parody.

For the Little Steps audience, this one is firmly adults-only territory, but it's a strong recommendation for date nights or a group catch-up away from the usual spots. Open Tuesday to Saturday from 5 pm, with last orders at 1 am.

Confession Room, 25A Boon Tat Street, Singapore 069622, https://www.confessionroom.sg/

  • Cat Bite Club

The Menu Has Changed. So Should Your Plans.

Cat Bite Club is not technically a new bar, as it opened on Duxton Road back in 2023. But with a fully revamped menu for 2026, it more than earns its spot on this list. The changes are significant enough to make a revisit feel like a first visit.

The original classics-forward format has been replaced with something more exploratory. The new menu dedicates one page entirely to agave spirits and another to rice spirits. There's also a new option to add a small neat pour alongside your cocktail for SG$10, letting you taste the base spirit on its own before seeing what it becomes in the drink. It's spirits education with a playful edge.

Standout cocktails include Get The MSG?, made with chilli oil-washed mezcal and a beer float, and Ube Noir, which blends baijiu with black sesame and ube-coconut cream. Both are bold, inventive, and exactly the kind of thing Cat Bite Club does well.

The bar has also launched a Spirits Explorer Passport, inviting guests to work through Singapore's largest collection of Mexican and Asian spirits, spanning over 200 bottles, with real perks for the committed. If you love agave or rice spirits, or simply enjoy discovering something genuinely new, this is the bar for you.

    Cat Bite Club, 75 Duxton Road, Singapore 089534, +65 8190 6597, https://catbiteclub.com/
