The Chinatown Mid-Autumn Festival 2025 returns bigger than ever, lighting up the streets from 7 September to 20 October in celebration of Singapore’s 60th year of independence. With the theme “60 Glorious Years: Celebrating Mid-Autumn in Singapore”, the festival transforms Chinatown into a glowing hub of heritage, storytelling and community.
Highlights include an 8-metre centrepiece honouring SG60, vibrant street light-ups along New Bridge Road, Eu Tong Sen Street, South Bridge Road and Upper Cross Street, plus nostalgic displays of playgrounds, cultural motifs, and national icons. Families can also enjoy the bustling Chinatown Festive Fair, the creative Lantern Design Competition, interactive stamp trail keepsakes, tea appreciation sessions, a lively Mass Lantern Walk, riddles, stage performances, and the ever-popular Lantern Adoption Programme.

One of Singapore’s most loved Mid-Autumn highlights, Lights by the Lake returns with enchanting lantern displays that shine across the water. This year’s theme celebrates both biodiversity and heritage, blending art, culture, and nature into one magical evening stroll. Kids can enjoy light projections on iconic garden structures and families can look forward to music, cultural showcases, and plenty of glowing backdrops for family photos.

Celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival 2025 at Gardens by the Bay from September 22 to October 12, 2025 with free admission! This SG60 edition features dazzling lanterns guided by Ang Ku Kueh Girl™ & Friends, tracing Singapore’s journey from kampung days to HDB living. Highlights include international tributes like the Merlion & Haetae (Singapore-Korea ties) and Dream of Butterflies (Singapore-China friendship). Families can enjoy nightly lantern displays, cultural performances, workshops, a festive marketplace, carnival games, and the Lantern Walk — a vibrant evening out for all ages.

Celebrate the weekend leading up to the Mooncake Festival with a day packed with Mid-Autumn magic! Taste delicious mooncakes, sip fragrant teas, join lantern walks, and enjoy moongazing under the stars. Little ones will love the interactive performances, storytelling sessions, and hands-on parent-child workshops. Look out for the five giant Monday Bruce rabbits on the rooftop, and end the evening with a beautiful moonlit concert by the Singapore Chinese Orchestra. It’s the perfect blend of culture, creativity, and family-friendly fun.

This Mid-Autumn Festival, PAssionArts brings residents together through creativity, culture, and community spirit at two vibrant festivals. At the Admiralty PAssionArts Festival, a dazzling 3-metre-tall art installation inspired by a traditional blue-and-white porcelain vase takes centre stage. Residents will decorate the vase with hand-crafted flower blooms on-site, guided by volunteers from the Admiralty Community Arts and Culture Club, alongside artist Barry Yeow. The installation reflects how residents can transform shared spaces into meaningful celebrations through art and collaboration.
Meanwhile, the Kampong Glam PAssionArts Festival invites families to immerse themselves in traditional and contemporary Mid-Autumn activities. Visitors can try their hand at batik painting, solve lantern riddles, and enjoy captivating performances, from a theatrical face-changing act to a storytelling session about the timeless tale of Chang’e and Hou Yi. With colourful art, cultural performances, and strong community participation, the festivals promise to celebrate heritage while fostering togetherness.
Sun Yat Seng Memorial Hall is closing and the Wan Qing Closing Fest seeks to commemorate this historical site one last time before its closure. Come celebrate Chinese arts, culture, and heritage through a series of fun and exciting events and activities all for free. The gallery hours have also been extended on Saturdays till 14 September for visitors to spend more time. Some highlights of the festival include a lawn installation, a puzzle adventure and Hanfu portrait photography. Doesn’t it all sound exciting! Be sure to support this iconic landmark one last time before it closes its doors for restoration.
