This year’s celebrations are a little different and seek to show the changes over the years in how Mid-Autumn festival has been celebrated. The celebration will also have new features, and the highlights include the official street light-up and opening ceremony, an interactive digital lantern riddles experience and the Chinatown Lantern Walk. Gather together with your loved ones under the moonlight this year!

Lights by the Lake is back this year with more splendor than ever. The 15-day celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival will feature the 21st edition of the NParks Concert Series in the Park: Rockestra®. Themed 'Moonlit Melodies', a talented line-up of local artistes who will perform a selection of popular Mandarin and English songs. In support of the President's Challenge 2024, there will also be fun charity booths where visitors can contribute to the initiative. This year’s lantern display will feature the biodiversity of the gardens by enhancing the colours and shapes of the flora and fauna, as well as the gardens' iconic buildings! This one’s going to be a favorite among kids! Get the chance to meet Kiddo and friends as they bring you through picturesque paths lined with colourful lanterns, each inspired by joyful scenes of childhood playtime under the moonlit skies. This year’s lantern set is designed by a local artist, Mr Lee Kow Fong, so come and support local artists! The Race Around the Moon returns in 2024, now performed in Chinese! Watch the actors enact the classic tales of Chang’e, Jade Rabbit, and Wu Gang. This play enforces the importance of friendship. After years of being apart from their families, the three characters are given a chance to reunite, but there’s a catch—only the victor of the race will be granted this privilege. Suitable for kids, this play seeks to teach your little ones that true success lies not in winning but in the enduring bonds of friendship that transcend competition and disappointment.
