Meet the Little Steps Team

Meet the Little Steps editor in Singapore - Cherilyn Gan

Cherilyn Gan

Having moved every two to three years since she was two, Cherilyn considers herself a citizen of the world. Though she misses the adventure of a nomadic life, she’s happy to finally settle down and build roots in Singapore as City Editor. Mum to two active kids who keep her on her toes, she’s an introvert at heart who still loves connecting with people. When she’s not writing or mom-ing, you’ll find her binge-watching her favorite show, singing with her guitar, strength training at home, hitting the park for a scenic run, or dreaming of her next getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Rohini Gomez

Architect by training, writer by accident—she started writing during the Covid lockdown and never looked back. Now a lifestyle writer with a strong pulse on Singapore, she balances deadlines with raising two high-spirited pre-teen boys—powered by coffee, nature, rainy days, and her girl gang on speed dial.

Hemala Paul

Hailing from vibrant KL, Hemala was once immersed in the bustling urban scene but now finds solace and joy in life’s quieter pleasures. But that doesn’t mean you won’t find her dancing to the tunes of her favorite boy band! With a background in marketing for FMCGs, she has also been sharing her discoveries as a writer at Little Steps for over 7 years. She loves cooking, yoga, traveling and recently, she’s taken up diving!

With a background in mental health research and experience working with NGOs, she brings a thoughtful perspective to her writing. When she’s not exploring the latest restaurant openings or events, you’ll find her building sandcastles with her son on Repulse Bay Beach or strength training at her favorite gym.

Nicky Blokhoff is a Rotterdam-born writer and editor who has lived and worked across Europe before calling Lantau home. She holds an MA in Broadcast Journalism and a background in teaching English and Drama.
