Standard Chartered Arts In The Park Returns To Hong Kong

Hong Kong’s largest outdoor youth arts festival and puppet parade – Standard Chartered Arts in the Park – is back! Dress up with your family and friends for a day filled with creativity and wonder! Fuelled by the boundless power of words, books take us on marvelous journeys, opening up exciting worlds of fantasy. The theme for the 2023 event is inspired by Saint-Saëns’ “The Carnival of the Animals.” The two-day carnival includes a grand finale parade with giant puppets, stage performances, interactive art stalls, and various art experiences for people of all ages.

Some of the event highlights include the grand finale parade featuring giant puppets and colorful costumes, arts education workshops conducted by artist groups in schools and youth organizations, performances by 70 local youth groups, storytelling theater sessions, interactive art stalls, and an exhibition showcasing the artworks created for the event.

The 2023 event is scheduled to take place on December 2nd and 3rd at Victoria Park in Causeway Bay. The carnival will feature various activities from 10 am to 5 pm, including storytelling, live performances, interactive art stalls, and an exhibition. The grand finale parade will take place on December 3rd, starting from Victoria Park and passing through George Street and Sogo before returning at East Point Road.
