This Year’s Story: The Enchanted Story Ceremony
Each year, before Santa begins his great journey around the world, the magical story of the First Christmas Eve must be read aloud. The words of the story awaken the magic of the most enchanted night of all, setting the weather, lighting the sky, preparing Santa, and guiding him on his way.
This year, Santa and his elves have invited the nice-list families of Hong Kong to join the reading. But as you arrive, drama strikes: the words in the book have vanished. Unless… you can help find them.
An exclusive invitation quickly becomes a rescue mission, and it’s up to the families to step in and save Christmas magic.
How It Works: What to Expect and What to Plan
- Your invitation from the elves: A personalised invitation arrives at your home, complete with a map so your Little People can lead the way to Santa’s Secret Kingdom.
- The wish list letter: Ask your Little People to write their wish list letter to Santa (one per family). Pretend to post it, keep it safe, then bring it on the day.
- On the day: Follow the map to the Santa’s Secret Kingdom check-in desk in the lobby. There’s a guest list, so no physical ticket is needed. Just hand the elf your wish list letter when they ask for your “tickets”, and collect your family’s Story Seed, the key to restoring the missing words.
- Inside Santa’s Secret Kingdom: Elf Leaf leads your family through a playful adventure of magical challenges to restore the story, with interactive workshops, crafts, games, singing and dancing, plus plenty of elf-saturated festive chaos.
- Meeting Santa: During arts and crafts, your Little People are called by name for a private family moment with Santa, who’ll be reading the very wishlist they sent him. Expect a chat, a little gift and a family photo.
- Memories made: Santa appears once more for a final festive singalong, sending your family home with new core memories to cherish for years to come.
Reserve Your Private Time Slot
New this year: book an entire time slot for 20 of your nearest and dearest, ideal for extended families, friends’ groups, playgroups or office families. Just select “Group Packages (20 persons)” from the “Tickets” dropdown when booking. Slots are limited and allocated on a first-come, first served.

- Capacity: 20 people per slot (including adults and children aged 2+)
- Price: HK$648 per person (guests aged 2 or above must purchase a ticket)
Admission notes:
- Each ticket admits one person only; children under two years old attend free
- For every three children aged 10 and below, at least one guardian must accompany them. A second guardian is required from the fourth child onwards, and so on
- One wish list letter per family
- Group packages cover all 20 tickets in a slot

When is Santa’s Secret Kingdom in Hong Kong in 2026?
It returns for an 11th year at Island Shangri-La, Supreme Court Road, Admiralty, on 28–29 November and 5–6, 11–13, 18–20 and 23–26 December 2026. Each session is one hour, in hourly slots from 9am–12pm and 1:30pm–5:30pm.
How do tickets work, and do I need to print one?
No printed ticket. A personalised invitation and map arrive at home. Kids write a wish-list letter, pretend to post it, then hand that letter to the elf at the lobby check-in desk. Each paid ticket is one person; under-twos go free. 2026 prices were not out yet, and tickets were listed as on sale soon.
What happens inside Santa’s Secret Kingdom?
This year’s story is The Enchanted Story Ceremony. The words in the Christmas book have vanished, so families help the elves restore them before Santa can fly. Expect games, crafts and festive chaos. Children are then called by name to meet Santa while he “reads” their letter. You leave with a small gift, a family photo and a closing song.
Can I book a private slot for a playgroup or big family?
Yes. New for 2026, a whole 20-person slot can be reserved for relatives, friends or office families. Capacity is 20, counting adults and children aged two and up. One adult is needed for every three children aged 16 and under; four or more children need a second adult. Early group holds were first come, first served.
Is this a good Christmas outing for toddlers?
It is built for little people: a mailed invitation, a map they can hold, crafts, and a named Santa meeting instead of a long lobby queue. Under-twos are free, and the wish-list letter is essential. Pair it with other seasonal ideas in the weekend family guide.
