Dust off the capes and tiaras: Island Shangri-La’s Halloween Best Dressed Contest is back for its sixth year on Saturday, October 31, 2026, taking over the Lobby Lounge on Level 6 from 3pm to 5pm. Lyra the Little Witch is hosting, and she’s bringing treat bags, a magic show, balloon twisting, face painting and a professional photo keepsake to take home. The real reason to go all-in on the costumes? A prize pool worth more than HK$100,000, topped by a one-night stay in an Airship Voyage or Fairy Garden themed Family Suite, with breakfast and family afternoon tea for four thrown in.

Come early. The lobby opens for play at 2:30pm with a kids’ activity booth, character meet-and-greets, popcorn and hot dogs. Check-in and costume photos kick off at 3:30pm, and a live theatre piece takes the stage at 4pm. Who: Families! Judges will crown winners in three categories: Best Dressed Family, Most Creative Costume and Best Dressed Kids. Little siblings sitting out the contest aren’t left out either, as the lobby booth, face painting and balloon twisting are open to all.

Beyond the headline Airship Voyage or Fairy Garden suite stay, the prize table is stacked: a Family Floor suite, Santa’s Secret Kingdom, a cafe TOO dinner buffet, a Lobster Bar and Grill Sunday roast, and a roast turkey hamper.
