KEY EVENTS TO NOTE IN VICTORIA PARK FOR THE MID-AUTUMN FESTIVAL 2026:

- Regional Mooncake Sale: September 17 – 20, South Pavilion Plaza
Nanjing Qinhuai Lanterns (National Intangible Cultural Heritage)
- Shadowlight – an 8m banyan tree-inspired lantern at the main entrance, with a coloured gauze canopy to walk beneath
- Lotus Fish – rows of giant lotus leaves with carp darting through the light (walk between them!)
- Dragon Gate – leaping carp forming a circle, symbolising good fortune
- Moonlit Lotus – a 7m moon lantern above the Model Boat Pool, mirrored by lotus lanterns on the water
Hong Kong Lantern Galleria
- Over 400 classic Hong Kong handcrafted lanterns at the Hill Knoll Pavilion
- Traditional rabbit, star fruit and goldfish shapes hanging overhead
- Recreates the colourful spectacle of “Lantern Street” at Yuen Long’s Tai Kiu Market
