2023 Sep 23 - 2023 Oct 02

As the autumn moon shines brightly, Victoria Park transforms into a mesmerizing wonderland filled with vibrant colors, intricate lantern displays, and joyous festivities. This annual event brings together families and friends to immerse themselves in the rich cultural heritage of Hong Kong. From traditional lanterns depicting mythical creatures to modern artistic creations, the park becomes a breathtaking showcase of creativity and tradition. This year, the festival’s theme, “Chinese Delights in Full Splendour,” showcases the rich cultural heritage of China. The lantern displays at Victoria Park are a magnificent sight, adorned with traditional elements and blooming with floral glory. Visitors can revel in the joyous atmosphere and experience a dazzling Mid-Autumn Festival filled with Cantonese opera, fire dragon dances, delicate handicrafts, and lantern riddles. The lanterns, representing the 24 solar terms in the Chinese calendar, beautifully portray the changing seasons. Don’t miss the awe-inspiring gigantic lantern in the shape of a floral board, reminiscent of bamboo shed theatres, which offers a glimpse into the captivating world of Cantonese opera. Prepare to be enchanted by the charm and classic scenes that unfold before your eyes at this remarkable event.
