Lee Tung Avenue’s Mid-Autumn Festival Celebrations: Moon Fest Lumiere

Experience the enchanting Mid-Autumn festivities at Lee Tung Avenue, one of Hong Kong’s most beloved pedestrian streets. This family-friendly destination has prepared a host of exciting activities for everyone to enjoy. Don’t miss the spectacular Moon Fest Lumiere event, where over 800 colorful Chinese lanterns, including themed lanterns shaped like the jade rabbit, goldfish, and starfruit, adorn the 200-meter-long tree-lined walkway, creating a mesmerizing sight and perfect photo opportunities.

Lee Tung Avenue is open daily from 10am to 10pm, with extended hours until 11pm on September 22-24 and September 29 – October 2, allowing ample time for exploration and enjoyment. The magnificent lights will illuminate the avenue from 5pm onwards, adding a magical ambiance to the experience.

As part of Moon Fest Lumiere, Lee Tung Avenue offers a variety of other exciting events. Witness the captivating Fire Dragon Dance performances, participate in engaging workshops, explore charity markets, and be delighted by Chinese music performances featuring talented young kids.

  • LED Fire Dragon Fiesta

    • What: Lee Tung Avenue's famous LED Fire Dragon is back! Watch as the colorful dragon snakes along the beautiful avenue accompanied by drums and dancers.
    • When: September 29, 2023 from 8:30pm-9:30pm

    Dragon Dance Experience Workshop

    • What: Want to learn how to "dragon dance"? Appropriate for participants aged 8 or above (children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult), the Dragon Dance Experience workshop will combine an introduction to the history and cultural meaning behind it. Participants will also be able to perform around the Central Piazza!
    • When: September 17 & 23 at 2pm, 2:45pm, 3:30pm, 7pm, 7:45pm & 8:30pm, September 24 at 7:45pm & 8:30pm, September 29 at 4pm, 4:45pm & 5:30pm. Click here for more information on how to book.

    "Under The Moon" Charity Pop-Up

    • What: Featuring handmade products by local brands and free workshops, part of the proceeds from the "Under The Moon Charity Pop-Up will go to Arts with the Disable Association of Hong Kong.
    • When: September 23-28 from 12pm to 8pm

    Chinese Music Performances

    • What: The Yao Yueh Chinese Music Association, Fame Singing Academy and Cheerland Nursery & Kindergarten will take turns performing Chinese music to celebrate the Mid-Autumn festival.
    • When: September 24 & 30 from 1:30pm-6pm
