At its heart is the impressive Kai Tak Sports Park, featuring a world-class stadium and arena. Visitors can also enjoy unique attractions like indoor surfing at Groundswell, luxury malls like Airside, scenic waterfront promenades, and diverse entertainment options, including sprawling bowling alleys and kid-friendly cafés. This dynamic neighborhood in East Kowloon offers a modern, integrated lifestyle experience that’s perfect for everyone. How to Get to Kai Tak:

  • By MTR: Take the train to Kai Tak Station and use Exit C for Airside Mall and The Twins, or Exit D for Kai Tak Sports Park. Alternatively, head to Sung Wong Toi Station and exit via D for easy access to Kai Tak Sports Park.
  • By Bus: Multiple public bus routes conveniently connect to Kai Tak.
  • By Ferry: Feeling adventurous? Take a 15-minute ferry ride from North Point to Kowloon City. It’s a scenic alternative with stunning views of the harbor.

    There are many areas around Kai Tak where your pets can freely roam around as their humans enjoy the day out. There are open areas where you can take in unobstructed panoramic views of Hong Kong, as well as malls and cafés that are also pet-friendly, read on to learn more!

    • Kai Tak Promenade - You'll find children's play areas and a lot of lush greenery where you can plan your next picnic day out. It is also labeled by LCSD as an "inclusive park for pets."
    • Kai Tak Cruise Terminal Park - This amazing space features floral displays, water gardens, sheltered walkways, and spacious lawns (suitable for your furry friends to run around). And it is also LCSD-approved as an "inclusive park for pets."
    • Kai Tak Sky Garden - Another area where you can bring your four-legged pals. There are three elevated plazas, namely the Garden Plaza, the Lawn Plaza, and the Fountain Plaza. It features landscaped gardens that is filled with more than 80 species of trees and shrubs, and features a season-themed sidewalk. A great place to explore with the whole family, and yes, it is also LCSD-approved!
    • Kai Tak Station Square - It is Hong Kong's largest urban public space, sprawling 12-hectare green leisure hub built on the former Kai Tak Airport's north apron, serving as a central connector between Kai Tak MTR Station, residential areas, and the new Kai Tak Sports Park, featuring lawns, play areas, water features, cycling paths, and shaded zones for community activities, events, and relaxation. Pets are also free to go around for walks.
    • AIRSIDE (Pictured) - This mall offers designated pet zones in its plaza, indoor areas, an urban farm, along with amenities like pet carts, water bowls, and waste bags, plus numerous pet-welcoming restaurants and shops. Make sure to head over to their rooftop garden for your next fun day out.
    • Terrace in Seaside - Located in AIRSIDE, this Korean-style restaurant not only offers yummy dishes (including light meals) with a view to match, that you can enjoy with your furry pals.
    • Bellavista Restaurant and Terrace Bar - Located at AIRSIDE's open-air garden (pets are welcome!), where you can enjoy Western dishes on the menu. Tip: head over during sunset to bask in the amazing views!
    • GoodDay Solar - Guests can sit in floor-to-ceiling windows and enjoy views that include Lion Rock, Kai Tai Station Square, while sipping on delicious coffee with their pets.
    • Kai Tak Sports Park Dining Grove - With open spaces, harbour views and food stalls, this makes a perfect spot post-doggy walk!

    • AIRSIDE - Airside is a 47-storey multi-complex made up of office floors and a 700,000sq ft shopping mall offering everything from restaurants, shops, and entertainment venues.
    • Kai Tak Mall (Pictured) - A ‘sportainment’ retail hub that has over 200 stores, you’ll find everything from special edition sports apparel to Hong Kong's very first Oofos Recovery Footwear flagship.
    • The Twins - Get lost in 2 towers of shopping fun that includes a large Sogo department store located in Tower 1 (11 floors!). Shoppers can find over 480 brands, pop-ups, boutiques, local businesses, and more.

    • Kai Tak Food Gala - If you can’t decide on what to eat, the Food Gala offers a range of local and international cuisines, including Korean fried chicken from JMT, sizzling hot plates from Pepper Lunch Express, and cha chaan teng classics from Blessed Alley and more!
    • The Cippolini Pizzeria (Pictured) - Can't go wrong with Italian food! A great place to dine with the whole family, where you can order some delicious pizza, drinks for the kids and adults, and of course, gelato!
    • Origami Kids Café - A fun, family-friendly spot that's located in Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, where kids can play(think ball pits, slides, toy cars, etc) and enjoy amazing homestyle meals at the same time.
    • Luna - A contemporary Chinese restaurant that blends both Japanese and Chinese Cuisine.
    • Uogashi Nihonichi - A Japanese standing sushi bar that serves perfectly cut sushi pieces, handrolls, including its famous Edomae sushi. This place is also a current favorite for a quick, delicious lunch meal with friends.
    • Yuk Mi Jeong Dam - If you're craving for some Korean barbeque, this restaurant offers platters of raw meat, seafood, and greens where diners can cook at their own table.
    • Hungry Tiger Hidden Dragon Restaurant & Bar - This is a charming sports-themed restaurant that’s ideal for families by day and has a brilliant alfresco terrace (suitable for date night!) that has a great view of Kai Tak Stadium.
    • Groundswell - A surf-themed restaurant and bar that serves Southeast Asian flavours (think satay, gado gado, tom yum and more). Surfers can also take a break by the bar and order iced lemongrass drinks, butterfly coconut juice, or Thai bubble milk tea.
    • Bellavista Restaurant and Terrace Bar - Located at AIRSIDE's open-air garden where you can enjoy Western dishes on the menu. A great spot to have a meal and a cheeky glass of wine or pint of beer for the adults and juice for the kids! Tip: head over during sunset to bask in the amazing views!
    • Chefs Cuts Restaurant and Bakery - AIRSIDE's largest restaurant that has an in-house bakery. Steak and seafood lovers will love their menu (from dry-aged steaks to lobster mac 'n cheese).

    • Jin Bo Law - Head over to the Dorsett, Kai Tak, for your next date night and make a cocktail stop at London's famed rooftop bar (making Hong Kong its first overseas location!). Bask in views and order from their delicious selection of drinks curated by mixology specialist Joe Villanueva, and make this a night to remember.
    • Nana's Green Tea - This one's for the matcha, green-tea lovers! A modern Japanese teahouse that uses its original Kyoto matcha blend, Nana’s creates show-stopping green-tea desserts using techniques that date back to the Edo period.
    • NOC Coffee - This NOC location comes with a sleek, minimalistic silver and white colour palette with views to match, which surely attracts a lot of social media users. This shop spans over two floors, with its second floor that has a coffee bar that looks like an out-of-this-world spaceship. Come for the snaps and content, stay for the coffee!

    • Yonna Yonna Gelato - Based on the Okinawan gelato brand Yanbaru Gelato, where you can order healthier choices for those with a sweet tooth, as this brand comes with fewer calories, sugars, and fats, but equally on the sweet, delish factor. Their Hokkaido milk is a favorite!

    Kai Tak stands out as an ultra-cool neighborhood with amazing outdoor activities for the whole family! From picnic areas, play areas, to photo spots. Check out these suggestions:

    • Kai Tak Sky Garden - As a tribute to Kai Tak Airport, this area is designed with a landscaped platform that resembles an aircraft's body and wings. There are three elevated plazas and is covered with a lot of lush greenery, with over 80 species of trees, making this spot suitable for your next day out with the kids. Don't forget to take snaps of the harbour!
    • Kai Tak Sports Park (pictured) - Now stands as Hong Kong's largest sports venue, it is made up of three major hubs that include the stadium, youth sports ground and a sports arena. Check out their website, where you can book their sports facilities (from beach volleyball to pickleball!).
    • Kai Tak Cruise Terminal - Another amazing outdoor location that has water gardens, walkways and spacious lawns. It is the ideal place to plan your next picnic.
    • Mirror Of The Sky - It is the largest urban square in Hong Kong, where it boasts a large body of water running through it. These bodies of water can act as a ‘sky mirror’, providing arresting images of the surrounding buildings and clouds in its reflections. This is an awesome picture-perfect spot. We suggest heading over there during sunset!
      • 11 Muk Tai Street, Kai Tak, Kowloon
    • Playfield 5 is the newest outdoor playground at Kai Tak Sports Park, designed for children aged 2–12. Inspired by the five elements of Chinese philosophy—wood, fire, earth, metal, and water—it’s a colorful and inclusive space packed with exciting features.
