On Saturday, November 21, 2026, Tai Pak Beach and DB Plaza come alive with 11 hours of live music, from 11am to 10pm, featuring more than 24 acts across two stages, plus a Handmade Hong Kong artisan market for a little early Christmas browsing. What began in 2006 as Picnic in the Park at Siena Park moved to the beach in 2016, last ran in 2019, and now returns to celebrate 20 years of a beloved Lantau tradition – one that was always made for neighbours, not just ticket holders.
Best of all, it’s wonderfully family-friendly. Kids aged 0–5 go free, youth tickets (ages 5-17) are well below adult prices, and domestic helpers get a HK$50 community rate throughout every sale period. - Two stages, two vibes. The Tai Pak Stage sits right on the sand with Jaywalkers, Helium 3, Murphy and the Lawyers, Samba Latina, Indigo Town, the Hong Kong Welsh Male Voice Choir and more, while the Chek Lap Kok Stage leans indie and rock. The choir and samba sets are the gentlest on little ears – spread your blanket further up the beach if the amps get lively.
- Hidden mini find: the Handmade Hong Kong market is your early-Christmas shopping sorted, but it wraps at 8pm, two hours before the music ends. Do the stalls and snacks in daylight, then decide whether the older kids stay on for the evening sets.
- Parent pro tips: toilets are at DB Plaza, not on the sand. Hats and sunscreen on before the first ferry. Ear protection is a smart move for under-8s near either stage. And the last ferry back to Central is the real curfew – set a phone alarm!
