  • Weekend tips: If you’re heading up on a weekend, expect big crowds, especially on the Peak Tram. To avoid long waits, plan ahead. If you have a specific restaurant in mind, like reserving a window table at La Vache! or outdoor seating at Falcone or Rajasthan Rifles, be sure to book in advance.

How to Get There

Getting to The Peak is simple, with several convenient options:

  • By the iconic Peak Tram
    The ride to the top is an experience in itself! The six-minute journey on the Peak Tram offers stunning views as you glide past towering skyscrapers. Be sure to book your tickets in advance to skip the queues.
  • By bus
    From Central, take bus 15 or X15 from Exchange Square (near MTR Central Station Exit A or MTR Hong Kong Station Exit B1) directly to the Peak Galleria terminus. Alternatively, hop on minibus 1 from Two IFC (near MTR Hong Kong Station Exit F).
  • By taxi or rideshare
    Taxis and rideshare services like Uber provide a quick, hassle-free way to reach The Peak.
  • By car
    Driving? Parking is available at The Peak Galleria, and you can even redeem free parking by spending a certain amount at the mall. Just visit the concierge desk for details.

    Where To Eat At The Peak

    After a hike along the Morning Trail or some fun at Mount Austin, you’re bound to work up an appetite. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with some amazing dining hotspots nearby!

    • Bakehouse (pictured) - Indulge in their mouthwatering pastries and sip on a perfectly brewed coffee and egg tart to refuel after your adventure.
    • Bubba Gump Shrimp & Co. - A family-friendly restaurant serving up delicious seafood with incredible views of the city.
    • Butter - Treat yourself to their cakes and cookies, available in the most incredible flavors.
    • Falcone - Dig into their delicious Neapolitan pizzas, and don’t miss the Bambini Brunch, a must for families, held every first Sunday of the month.

    Things To Do And Indoor Activities At The Peak

    The Peak offers a lot of fun activities located at The Peak Tower and Peak Galleria that you can do with friends or family, from taking lots of photos with wax figures to creating your own stuffed animal.

    • Madame Tussauds - A wax museum where you can take photos with wax figures of your favorite celebrities.
    • Monopoly Dreams - The world's first Monopoly-themed attraction. Make sure to order your tickets to enter the venue.
    • NGS Fun Station - An amusement game centre where you can play on claw machines, mini kiddie rides, and arcade games.
    • Build-A-Bear Workshop (pictured) - Kids make their own DIY stuffed animals and purchase matching outfits!
    • Candylicious -  You can find candy brands, premium chocolates, and selected gourmet treats from all over the world.
    • Go Museum - An immersive, digital, and light-based art museum.
    • Peak Post Office - You can send a postcard to a friend, loved one (or even to yourselves!), and you will receive a special Peak chop mark to let everybody know you visited The Peak.

    NATURE & WALKING TRAILS

    Outdoor Things To Do At The Peak

    One of the best things about The Peak is immersing yourself in nature and exploring its stunning scenic trails.

    • Peak Circle Walk (pictured) - A popular spot featuring a 3.5-kilometer paved trail, perfect for families with kids who love to hike and bring along their scooters and strollers. Enjoy the most spectacular views. The whole loop, with kids in tow, should take about an hour to complete.
    • Morning Trail - An easy trek up to The Peak that can be hiked either during the day or at night. The path is well lit, and the views from the top on a clear evening show off a lovely side of Hong Kong. If you're feeling even more adventurous, hike up to High West and enjoy views from right at the top.
      • To ascend, start at the end of Conduit Road and head up Hatton Road. Follow the signs!
    • Victoria Peak Garden - Head uphill along Mount Austin Road until you reach Victoria Peak Garden. Once you get there, you'll find a beautiful open space with benches, pagodas, winding paths and green lawns filled with picnickers and lots and lots of dogs.

    Vantage Points

    No need to hike to enjoy breathtaking views of Hong Kong! Visit these viewing points to take in stunning sights of the city’s skyscrapers and iconic skyline.

    • Sky Terrace 428 (pictured) - Standing 428 meters above sea level, this is the highest viewing platform in Hong Kong, offering 360-degree panoramic views of the city skyline, Victoria Harbour, and surrounding green landscapes.
    • The Peak Galleria Observation Deck -If you’re looking for stunning panoramic views of the southern side of the city without spending a dime, head to the 3rd floor of the Peak Galleria.
      • 3/F, Peak Galleria, 128 Peak Road
    • Lugard Road Lookout - Make your way to this spot nearby, and stroll along a narrow, forested path not far from The Peak Tower. Along the way, you’ll find several sections with breathtaking panoramic views of Hong Kong Island and Kowloon.
  • Mount Austin Playground, The Peak HK

    Playtime is always a great idea! After taking in the sights, let the kids burn off some energy at one of these fantastic playgrounds.

    • Peak Galleria Playground - A spacious, colorful play area that offers exciting climbing challenges for kids, all with a fun jungle vibe.
      • Shop G08, G/F, Peak Galleria, 118 Peak Road, The Peak
    • Mount Austin Playground (pictured) - A steep 10-minute walk up Mount Austin Road takes you to Mount Austin Playground, an ideal outdoor spot for school outings and family picnics. Didn't bring one? Order one from Rajasthan Rifles.
    • Coombe Road Playground - If you are having a hike day and making your way back down from The Peak, you can head in the direction of Wan Chai Gap and play in this hidden gem.
