Uber Pet For Animal-Friendly Service In Hong Kong

After the US, Australia, and New Zealand, Uber Pet has arrived in Hong Kong – and it was high time indeed! Casual travel with pets around Hong Kong has been all but impossible as taxi drivers decline driving pet-accompanied clients much more often than not, and the MTR has yet to introduce designated animal compartments and other pet-friendly policies.
Uber Pet is an in-app option developed with dogs and cats in mind, so your driver can, but doesn’t have to, refuse to take along another kind of animal. It is super straightforward – you open the app and type where you want to go; scroll through the ride options and choose Uber Pet; confirm your ride, and travel with your ride-or-die furry buddy. Unless your pet is a service animal, you will pay an extra HK$20 surcharge – a small price to pay for your best friend by your side.
At last, you get to explore the full scope of Hong Kong’s wonderful parks, count on a ride if you urgently need to get your four-legged friend to the vet, and finally adopt a furry companion without wondering how you’re supposed to transport them to their forever home!
