According to news reports, Hong Kong has become the first city in the Asia-Pacific region to debut Uber Elite, a premium chauffeur service designed to elevate travel with style, luxury, and convenience. Partnering with Kwoon Chung Bus Holdings Limited, Uber Elite offers high-quality transportation tailored for high-net-worth individuals, corporate executives, business travelers, and tourists.

This reservation-only service allows riders to book luxury multi-purpose vehicles (MPVs) through the Uber app anywhere from 90 days to just two hours in advance. With a base fare of HK$720 and a minimum trip charge of HK$780 (plus HK$4 per minute and HK$12 per kilometer afterward), the service positions itself as a top-tier option to meet Hong Kong’s growing demand for personalized, high-end ground transport.

Key Features of Uber Elite

• Professional Chauffeurs and Training: All chauffeurs undergo six hours of specialized training that covers driving safety, app usage, and service standards. They are fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English, ensuring smooth communication and impeccable service. Drivers are also required to wear uniforms to provide a polished experience for clients.
• Luxurious Fleet Options: The program initially includes dozens of premium Mercedes-Benz S-Class and V-Class MPVs, with the fleet size set to expand based on demand.
• Enhanced Airport and Travel Services: Customers enjoy extended wait times—30 minutes for standard trips and 60 minutes for airport pickups. An optional meet-and-greet service offers VIP treatment at airport arrival halls, where chauffeurs greet passengers and guide them directly to their luxury vehicles.
• Onboard Amenities: Each Uber Elite experience includes complimentary Wi-Fi, bottled water, snacks, device charging stations, and wet wipes to guarantee a comfortable and premium ride.

To celebrate the launch, Uber users can receive a 50% discount on their first Uber Elite trip (capped at HK$2,000 and to be used only once) until August 31, 2026.
