Here are some useful facts that can help:
- If you need an ambulance, call 999
- Ambulance services are free, and it will ONLY take you to the nearest public hospital
When you are at a public hospital, take note of the following:
- Triage will assess based on how URGENT your condition is and will therefore determine how to prioritize and assign medical attention
- Please present your HKID
- For minors, please bring a copy of their Birth Certificate/Passport
- Cash or Octopus
- Upon arriving at A&E you will be asked to pay HK$180
- HK$5o will be paid if you attend the outpatient clinic
- Medication and follow-ups (if needed) are charged separately
- The waiting time might be long!
