Sparkle and wonder await at the Hong Kong Palace Museum with Treasures of Global Jewellery from The Metropolitan Museum of Art: The Body Transformed. This dazzling exhibition brings together around 200 iconic jewellery masterpieces from the Met’s collection, their first major show in the Greater Bay Area, alongside highlights from the Hong Kong Palace Museum’s own treasures (have you been to the Ancient Egypt exhibit yet?). Spanning nearly 4,000 years and five continents, it explores how humans have adorned the body as expressions of belief, status, beauty, and identity through five thematic sections: The Divine Body, The Regal Body, The Transcendent Body, The Alluring Body, and The Resplendent Body.
Perfect for curious families, the exhibition turns jewellery into storytelling magic. Kids can marvel at ancient treasures, royal gems, and contemporary creations that transform how we see fashion, culture, and creativity. While not heavily interactive, the visual spectacle and global narratives make it an engaging, educational outi, think “hidden mini finds” like spotting how adornments tell stories across civilisations, sparking chats about history and art at home. Children under 7 enter free (all kids under 12 must be accompanied by a ticketed adult), with concessions for ages 7–11.
