Did someone say makeover? The Western Kowloon Promenade’s Art Park recently had one, and we love it! If a relaxing outdoorsy day is what you’re looking for, the Art Park’s new features won’t disappoint with their open lawn spaces, cafes, and a refurbished bike path! The bike path offers wider spaces so that the whole family can enjoy a stress-free ride while overlooking the scenic Victoria Harbour. They also provide SmartBike rentals at $20/hour so that you don’t need to lug your own bikes around!

If your family includes four-legged members, you’ll be happy to know that the Art Park has a designated Pet-Zone, equipped with pet waste bins and a water tap, where they can roam leash-free. Keep in mind, however, that outside the Pet-Zone pets must be kept on their leash.

Monthly tours, performances, and kid-friendly workshops frequently take place at the Art Park as well as at the nearby Freespace, their new center for performances. Keep up to date with all their latest events on their website.

Also new to the Art Park, is the arrival of the cafes and restaurants along the harbor front with enough options to keep everyone happy - from the pickiest toddlers to the choosiest grown-ups! Stop by at Rest, a cozy café that converts to a bar by evening, or if you’re in the mood for some pizza and pasta Café Boheme is a perfect choice — bringing along your furry friends? Pet-friendly restaurant Hooman’s doggie treats will be sure to keep them happy and also spoil you for choice with their specialty range of coffee and snacks.

Or pick a space on the empty lawn, lay out a picnic mat, and enjoy a relaxing and fun day out with the family!
