Sri Lanka’s acclaimed Ministry of Crab restaurant is set to host an exclusive pop-up event at Ozone in the ICC, Hong Kong, for a limited time only! Celebrated for its dedication to serving the freshest and finest quality crab, the restaurant has consistently ranked among Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants. Known for its unique approach to seafood, particularly its succulent and sizeable lagoon crabs, the restaurant emphasizes the natural flavors of its ingredients, cooked in a range of aromatic and spicy sauces. This May, Ministry of Crab is set to bring its exceptional dining experience to Hong Kong’s highest rooftop bar through a much-anticipated pop-up event. This event will offer food enthusiasts in Hong Kong a unique opportunity to indulge in the restaurant’s signature dishes, with succulent mud crabs and freshwater prawns flown from Sri Lanka.
The set dinner menu for the Hong Kong pop-up event includes crab liver pâté, a creamy, umami-rich choice served with Melba toast, and a hint of smoky kithul treacle. Avocado crab salad mixes chilled white crab meat with wasabi mayonnaise in an avocado half. For spice lovers, garlic chili prawn features prawns cooked in Italian olive oil, Japanese soy sauce, garlic, and chili flakes. Pepper crab marries sweet crab meat with fiery peppercorns and pepper dashi. The meal wraps up with coconut crème brûlée, a tropical twist on the classic French dessert, baked in a coconut shell.
