Your getting close, mom and dad…baby is on the way! Packing your bag for the hospital can be a bit daunting and confusing, with tips flying at you from all directions.   • WHAT TO PACK FOR MOM AND DAD IN THE HOSPITAL?

    • Insurance card
    • Passports/ID cards (check in advance requirements)
    • Birth plan and medical notes
    • Nursing nightgown (think comfortable)
    • Comfortable clothing (including clothing to go home, bathrobe)
    • Nursing bras/breast pads
    • Sanitary pads (maternity) *Note, private hospital provides them
    • Toiletries (scent-free)
    • Money, phone, phone charger
    • Snacks + drinks
    • Facial sponge or flannel (for labor) *Wet cloth / optional
    • Towel *Optional  
    • Comfortable big girl panties
    • Chapstick

    WHAT TO PACK FOR BABY IN THE HOSPITAL?

    • Newborn nappies
    • Baby toiletries + cotton wool
    • Vests/sleepsuits
    • Blanket
    • Muslin squares
    • Outfit for going home (including hat and socks)
    • Carseat or carrier for bringing baby home in car/taxi

     

    Note:  For those delivering in a public hospital, be sure to check their required list on what to bring as it varies.
