Located on the grounds of St. John’s Cathedral Garden, The Nest Coffee Shop is a special spot for a morning or afternoon snack and play!
The Nest is much bigger than a great coffee shop in a gorgeous and super convenient outdoor setting. It is also the brainchild and vocational training center of The Nesbitt Centre, which helps adults with learning disabilities achieve independence. Students participate in Coffee Shop, Customer Service, and Barista training programs before helping out at The Nest. This is truly a win-win situation for everyone in the community!
After arriving at St. John’s, take a peek at the cathedral and maybe the gift shop, and then head to the cafe. The Nest has its delicious blend of coffee, plus sweet and savory treats. Take your food to the two circular benches wrapped around trees outside, and finish off your coffee while the kids let loose in the grassy area in front. For a longer run around, walk just a few meters to the adjacent Cheung Kong Park or via the sky bridges to Hong Kong Park.
The Nest is a real urban oasis for families! The food, the lush grounds, and the mission are all so good for the soul!
Families on the hunt for a rest stop in Central near shopping, the Peak Tram, the U.S. Consulate, or even the Hong Kong Zoo & Botanical Gardens!
The garden and adjacent Cheung Kong Park can get crowded during weekday lunch hour and on Sundays, so best to visit at other times.
