The Bar Leone Team Is Coming To Rosewood Hong Kong, And We Cannot Wait

As if we needed another excuse to cross the harbour. Rosewood Hong Kong, the World’s 50 Best Hotels’ number one for 2025 and again for 2026, has just announced that Lorenzo Antinori and Justin Shun Wah, the duo behind Bar Leone, are creating an entirely new bar concept exclusively for the hotel. It opens in November 2026.

Let that sink in for a second. The best hotel in the world and the team from the best bar in the world (World’s 50 Best Bars No. 1, 2025) under one roof, in Tsim Sha Tsui, with Victoria Harbour glittering outside the window.

Details are being kept deliberately under wraps. The hotel’s own Instagram teased it perfectly: “Some things are best revealed slowly.” What we do know is that the concept promises “an exciting new chapter for cocktail culture in Hong Kong.” Full reveal is promised for late October!

The question on everyone’s lips: can we finally book a table?

Anyone who has made the pilgrimage to Bridges Street knows the drill. Bar Leone is walk-in only, the queue forms early, and on a Friday night you should be prepared for a genuinely long wait. Worth it, but long. It’s part of the bar’s whole philosophy: cocktail popolari, cocktails for the people, no reservations, no velvet rope.

So does a Rosewood address change that? Honestly, nobody knows yet!

Either way, this is the most exciting bar opening Hong Kong has seen in years, and it lands Kowloon-side. Add it to the K11 Musea shopping, the West Kowloon arts district, and the Star Ferry ride over, and Tsim Sha Tsui is making a very strong case for itself this autumn.
