Bistrot’s Suzette Is The New Neighbourhood Favorite In Kai Tak

Parisian Comfort Food Families Can Share

Bistrot's Suzette Is The New Neighbourhood Favorite In Kai Tak

Kai Tak’s dining scene keeps getting better, and the latest arrival has been pulling a proper crowd since it opened its doors — especially at weekends, when the terrace fills up fast. Bistrot’s Suzette landed at Cullinan Sky Mall in early August, bringing all-day Parisian bistro cooking (and a big dose of joie de vivre) to the neighbourhood.

It’s a collaboration between Silver Spoon Restaurants and Chef Tiff Lo, a name Hong Kong foodies will know from her much-loved Wan Chai bistro jean may.

What To Order

The menu reads like a greatest-hits list of French comfort food. Start with the velvety chicken liver parfait with red onion compote (HK$128), a bubbling gratinéed French onion soup (HK$158) or the crispy black olive panisse frits (HK$108),  an easy win with kids. Mains are the slow, satisfying sort: beef bourguignon braised until it falls apart (HK$298), steak frites with a punchy peppercorn sauce (HK$358), duck confit with lentils (HK$238) and salmon with piperade (HK$248). Save room for the namesake crêpe soufflé à la Suzette (HK$118), an airy soufflé tucked inside a delicate crêpe, finished table-side with orange sauce and a flourish of Grand Marnier. It’s dinner and a show, and small people are usually transfixed. There’s also an in-house Pâtisserie Atelier turning out apple tarte fine (HK$88) and a wobbly crème caramel (HK$78).

The Space (And Why Families Will Like It)

Designer Hernan Zanghellini has nailed the old-Paris look: burgundy-striped walls, hand-painted murals, glossy red tables and hand-picked vintage cutlery. The best bit for parents? Floor-to-ceiling French casement doors fold right open onto the Terrace “Jardin”, so you can sit outside, spread out a little and let restless kids wriggle without a side of side-eye. Dogs are welcome too, treats included.

Weekends bring the Signature Brunch, with free-flowing bubbly and a curated French spread — hence those queues. Late afternoons are for L’Apéro: artisan cheese, baked camembert (HK$168) and a glass of something cold as the sun goes down.

Perfect For Pre- Or Post-Event Dining At Kai Tak Sports Park

Here’s the really useful part: Cullinan Sky Mall is about a 13-minute walk from Kai Tak Stadium and Kai Tak Arena. If you’ve got tickets to a match, a concert or a family show, this is a very civilised place to feed everyone beforehand, or to decompress afterwards over dessert and a glass of wine while the crowds thin out. Book ahead, especially on event days and weekends.

Is Bistrot’s Suzette kid-friendly for a family meal in Kai Tak?

Yes, for school-age kids who can sit through a proper bistro meal. Little Steps flags it as best for 6+, with younger children welcome if they stay at the table. The terrace Jardin and folding French doors give wriggly kids space, and dogs are allowed with treats. See more Kai Tak family tables in the Kai Tak restaurants guide.

What should kids order at Bistrot’s Suzette?

Start with crispy black olive panisse frits (HK$108). Share steak frites or beef bourguignon, then watch the crêpe soufflé à la Suzette finished tableside (HK$118). Apple tarte fine and crème caramel are easy wins. There is no separate kids menu, so sharing plates work best.

Is it a good stop before or after Kai Tak Sports Park?

Yes. Cullinan Sky Mall is about a 13-minute walk from the stadium and arena, so you can eat before a show or wait out the crowds after. Book event days. Pair it with nearby play at Playfield 5.

Can we bring our dog to Bistrot’s Suzette?

Yes. Pets are welcome on the terrace Jardin and staff put out dog treats. Ask for an outdoor table when you book, especially at weekend brunch when the terrace fills fast.

How do I book, and what are the hours?

Open daily 12pm–10pm at Shop G02, G/F, Cullinan Sky Mall, 10 Concorde Road, Kai Tak. Walk in or reserve via Bistrochat, or call +852 3188 8896. Weekend Signature Brunch queues, so book ahead. More unique family dining ideas are here.

Why Little Steps Loves It:

We love a Kowloon table that treats lunch as a small joy rather than a performance — and this one does, with a terrace you can spill onto, dogs welcome at your feet and a crêpe soufflé finished table-side that keeps small people spellbound. It's French comfort food you can genuinely share with children: order the beef bourguignon and the panisse frits, let everyone pick at the camembert, and nobody's rushing you out.

Who It's Perfect For:

Parents who want a proper sit-down meal after Kai Tak, Sports Park, AIRSIDE, or Cullinan Sky shopping; families with school-age kids who like frites, soup, and a dessert reveal; pet owners who want a terrace treat with the dog.
