As if we needed another excuse to cross the harbour, Rosewood Hong Kong, ranked No. 1 in The World’s 50 Best Hotels for 2025 and again for 2026, has finally revealed the new bar it’s been teasing. Bar Camillo is a new concept from Lorenzo Antinori and Justin Shun Wah, the duo behind Bar Leone, and it opens on 25 November 2026.
Let that sink in for a second. The best hotel in the world and the team behind the best bar in the world (Bar Leone took No. 1 in The World’s 50 Best Bars in both 2025 and 2026) are under one roof in Tsim Sha Tsui, with Victoria Harbour glittering outside the window.
A living room, not a lobby bar
Bar Camillo takes its cue from the classic Italian salotto, or living room. In Italian culture that’s where social life happens and where the best parties get thrown. The idea is to swap stiff hotel formality for something more like a really good house party, just with world-class drinks and service.
The look is mid-century modern: glossy wood veneers, polished metal, mirrored walls, and a palette of gold and alpine green against cream. A long banquette along the bar is the lively side of the room, good for dropping in, catching up, and people-watching. Further in, lower seating and enclosed corners suit quieter conversation. There’s also a terrace for drinking and watching the city long after sunset.
What’s in the glass (and on the plate)
The menu is simple and built around three sections:
The fun part is that the menu changes four times a year. Each edition is built around a season and a specific year, and that year shapes the whole experience: the songs that topped the Italian pop charts at the time, the rotating wall art, and the cocktails themselves.
Then there’s the Negroni, which the bar treats as a speciality. Along with the menu, you’ll get a small chit to build your own. You pick the spirit, the garnish and, most importantly, the flavour profile: floral, savoury or rich. It’s then assembled and stirred at your table from a custom Negroni trolley.
So… can we finally book a table?
Yes! Anyone who’s made the pilgrimage to Bridges Street knows the drill. Bar Leone is walk-in only, the queue forms early, and on a Friday night you should expect a genuinely long wait. That’s part of its cocktail popolari philosophy: cocktails for the people, no reservations, no velvet rope.
Bar Camillo is doing things differently. According to Bar Camillo’s Instagram, reservations open on 1 November, so mark your calendars. With just 50 seats across indoors and the terrace, and demand this high, we’d book the moment they go live.
Bar Camillo puts the team behind the world’s top-ranked bar inside the world’s top-ranked hotel, with a living-room concept, a playful Negroni ritual, and harbour views. It is the rare Kowloon-side opening that gives Central cocktail people a genuine reason to cross the water.
Couples on a special date night, friends who already love Bar Leone, and anyone treating themselves to a proper evening out.
