Xiqu Centre @ West Kowloon

Hot off the press! Xiqu Centre at Kowloon West Cultural District is now open. This stunning arts venue is dedicated to promoting and celebrating the art form and rich heritage of xiqu also known as Chinese opera.
This building is a sublime piece of architecture and is inspired by traditional Chinese lanterns. And the main entrance is shaped to resemble slightly parted stage curtains to entice its guests young and old to venture in.
Xiqu Centre is made of a:
- grand theatre
- a smaller theatre
- eight professional studios
- a seminar hall and an atrium to host smaller events
While you’re there with the family checking out this awesome venue, make sure to go on a 60-minute guided tour in English (suitable for ages 6+). The Tour is led by expert docents, and you will get to explore the facilities and learn all about its architectural design.
