Rugby Sevens In Hong Kong With Kids

From April 5 to 7, 2024, the legendary Rugby Sevens in Hong Kong will be back and it’s bigger than ever! You can expect 3 days of non-stop thrilling action and fun, even if you’re not a rugby fan! And this coming April the Sevens will be celebrating their greatest hits to commemorate 30 years at the iconic Hong Kong Stadium, before moving to their new home in Kai Tak Sports Park!

So get ready for a weekend of fun! Pick a costume, buy your tickets and head on down!

Family-friendly events:

  • KidZone At The West Upper Level: Face-painting, mascots, child-friendly activities and more! Also don’t forget to ask for an autograph from your favorite player here!
  • March Past: cheer on the next generation of rugby players while The Wailers are jamming. Starts at 2:30pm on Saturday.
  • 7s In The City: Dive into the excitement of the Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens at the ultimate family-friendly outdoor fan zone – 7s In The City – located at the Central Harbourfront on April 6 & 7, 2024. The AIA Vitality Park next to the Hong Kong Observation Wheel is the perfect spot for kids and adults to enjoy the rugby show on a massive outdoor screen in a fun and age-appropriate environment! There will also be food and drink, live music and entertainment, and lots of activities for the kids! Tickets are on sale now here!

 

  • FAMILY-FRIENDLY RUGBY SEVENS EVENTS IN HONG KONG:

    • Sevens Festival @ Lee Gardens (TBC)

    It is 16 whole days of family fun in anticipation of, during, and even after the Sevens! Street musicians, obstacle courses, gaming arenas are just some of the attractions!

    Where: Lee Gardens, 33 Hysan Avenue, Causeway Bay

    • Sevens Village & After-Party (TBC)

    Open to all and free to all ticket and non-ticket holders, this event is conveniently located right across the stadium. Its got beer for the adults and soft drinks for the kids, but more importantly it's right near the action and has a big screen broadcasting the happenings!

    Where: The Village, IRC, 63 Caroline Hill Road, So Kon Po, Causeway Bay

  • Events Happening Around The Hong Kong Rugby Sevens

    Concerts, Parties & More!
    • Kick Off Concert

    Kicking off the event will be local Hong Kong pop star Joyce Cheng, followed by members of the PLK ONE2 Dance troupe who will be performing an exclusive dance routine.

    • Other Happenings in the Stadium for Rugby Sevens Weekend
      • Belgian pop star Plastic Bertrand will be performing
      • Ska ban The Red Stripes will be entertaining crowds on Saturday 1 April
      • Throughout the weekend Sevens' resident DJs the Two Simons and Ben Cullen (TV & radio presenter, DJ, MC and Director at The GOT group and Rugby Tots Hong Kong) will be keeping the crowds entertained
      • South Korea's DJ Soda will hit the decks on Sunday 2 April
    • The Rugby Sevens Party

    The Sevens is arguably better known for its wild parties than for the actual athletics. Perpetuating this reputation is this event. Join the crowds at Lan Kwai Fong in a fun costume to enjoy drinks, company, and a crazy night!

    • The Valley RFC Long Lunch

    Purchase one of the many packages offered at this event, and join over 400 people to watch rugby speakers, dance performances, and enjoy a 4-course meal with free-flow wine while supporting some great Asian children's charities.
