Hong Kong China Rugby (HKCR) has officially announced the dates for the highly anticipated Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens 2026, set to take place at the iconic Kai Tak Stadium from 17–19 April 2026.

And, Boom Boom Boom Boom! Hong Kong China Rugby has revealed the first headlining act for the 50th Anniversary Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens, happening at Kai Tak Stadium from April 17-19, 2026.

Bringing their iconic party anthems like “We Like to Party”, “We’re Going to Ibiza”, and “Boom Boom Boom Boom!”, the Vengaboys, Europe’s #1 party act, will take the stage on Saturday afternoon. Their electric performance promises to elevate the energy of the Sevens, known for its top-class rugby, non-stop entertainment, and vibrant festival atmosphere.

With more acts to be announced soon, the 2026 Hong Kong Sevens is shaping up to be an unmissable celebration of sport and entertainment. Stay tuned here!

    • 3-day pass: HK$2,250 (adults), HK$1,100 (children under 12).
    • Single-day tickets: Starting from HK$550 (adults), HK$300 (children).
  • South Stand Pass: Exclusive fast-track access to the iconic South Stand, with unique food and beverage options (18+ only).
  • Captain’s Lounge: HK$18,250 for a luxury 3-day experience, including gourmet dining, free-flow drinks, and meet-and-greet opportunities with rugby legends.
  • Corporate Hospitality: Premium packages available (limited capacity).

    Fan Village & March Past
    • Fan Village: Spanning 7,800 square feet, this buzzing hub is packed with sponsor activations, mouthwatering food and drink stalls, and live entertainment to keep the good vibes rolling. Catch live matches on the big screen, meet your rugby heroes, and grab official Castore merchandise to take a piece of the action home. This year, Shake Shack will make its debut at the Fan Zone! Situated within the Fan Village, it will be the ultimate go-to spot for fans to refuel between matches. Enjoy iconic favorites like the ShackBurger, Flat-Top Dogs, and Signature Frozen Lemonade, alongside a special HK7s menu curated just for the event.
    • Dedicated kids area: Families, you’re in for a treat! The Fan Village is super kid-friendly, featuring a dedicated kids’ zone with face painting, mascots, bouncy castles and fun community sports activities. Rugby fans of all ages can dive into programs like the Hong Kong Jockey Club’s All About Rugby and HSBC’s Try Rugby.

      • Afternoon entertainment starts at 2:30pm with Vengaboys taking the stage!
      • March Past at 2:30pm as well, with kids and youths from Hong Kong Rugby Clubs including Rugbytots and Love 21 being cheered on as they walk around the pitch!
      • Evening entertainment at 6:48pm as legendary DJ Hanna hits the decks!
      • The day ends at 8:50pm

      • Gates open at 7:30am, with youth and mini teams taking the pitch at 8:20am

    Where To Eat & What To Pack
    • Q: What are the opening times?
      • A: Gates open at 7:00 AM on Friday and Saturday, and 7:30 AM on Sunday.
    • Q: What food and beverage options are available?
      • A: The stadium features over 30 F&B outlets, including one of Asia’s longest bars, the Champion Bar, located on the East Concourse. There’s also a dedicated fan village (where this year you will find Shake Shack!), Harbourfront Dining Cove, and over 70 restaurants within walking distance.     • Q: Is there a dress code?
      • A: Outrageous fancy dress is encouraged! The stadium has a retractable roof (whether it's retracted or not is decided upon every morning depending on the forecast), but bring a poncho in case of unexpected showers.
    • Q: What should I bring?
      • A: Pack light with essentials like sunscreen, wet wipes, plasters, sunglasses, a hat, a power bank, and painkillers. Kai Tak Sports Park is cashless, so bring a loaded Octopus card and credit/debit cards. Families should not forget diapers, baby food, a change of clothes, and other essentials.
    • Q: What items are prohibited?
      • A: Do not bring hard-shell water bottles, balls, dangerous items, outside food and drinks, scooters, alcohol, military-style costumes, noisy instruments, selfie sticks, or remote-controlled devices.
    • Q: How do I get to Kai Tak Stadium?
      • A: The stadium is a 10-15 minute walk from both Kai Tak and Sung Wong Toi MTR stations. Public buses and ferries are also available.
    • Q: Are there different seating areas?
      • A: Yes, the stadium features North, South, East, and West stands, each with its own atmosphere. The South Stand (18+ only) is particularly famous for its party atmosphere.

    Seating Options For Families & Hardcore Fans

    Kai Tak Stadium offers spectacular views of the rugby action from all 50,000 seats, with each stand catering to different spectator preferences. As general admission (GA) is on a first-come, first-served basis, it’s recommended to arrive early to secure your preferred spot in this new venue.

    West Stand

    • Mostly dedicated to suites and boxes, but still offers an electric atmosphere

    • The notorious party zone, is now bigger and bolder with a stunning new terrace that boasts a beautiful Hong Kong backdrop!

    Note for Parents: If your children are participating in the March Past on Saturday, they will assemble at Gate H. Parents can then proceed to the North or East Stand for seating.

    Getting to Kai Tak Stadium for the Hong Kong Sevens 2025 is convenient with several transportation options available:
    MTR
    The stadium is easily accessible from two MTR stations:
    • Kai Tak Station: 10-15 minute walk
    • Sung Wong Toi Station: 10-15 minute walk
    Public Bus
    Several bus stops serve the stadium area:
    • Kowloon City Bus Interchange (also known as Regal Oriental Hotel Bus Stop and Sung Wong Toi Park Bus Stop)
    • Argyle Street Playground Bus Stop
    • Kowloon City Ferry Bus Terminus

    Taxi or Private Car
    • Taxi and Taxi-UBER drop-off: Kai Tak Stadium Taxi Stand on Shing Kai Road - closest to Gate H and at Kai Tak Arena Taxi Stand
    • Standard UBER: drop off at the Youth Sports Ground roundabout and around the wider Kai Tak precinct
    • Private car drop-off: drop off at the Youth Sports Ground roundabout and around the wider Kai Tak precinct. No private cars or coach buses will be allowed to enter the stadium's drop-off areas. Drivers are recommended to use Ma Tau Kok Road or Muk Wo Street for drop-off and pick-up.
    • Parking: three carparks are available - Stadium Carpark, Arena Carpark, and Dining Cove Carpark. If you want to park at the Stadium Carpark or Arena Carpark, you must reserve your spot in advance here.
    Ferry
    A ferry service operates between North Point and Kowloon City Ferry Pier. Check the timetable, route, and fares for the most up-to-date information.
