Indulge In Authentic Protein-Packed Frozen Yogurt With Premium Toppings In Hong Kong
The frozen Greek yogurt that broke Madrid has finally landed in Hong Kong. MYKA Greek’s first local shop is now open on Wellington Street in Central, and going by the queues everywhere else it’s landed, we’d get there early. Walk up (or down!) Pottinger Street and you’ll spot it as you hit Wellington Street.
Five Ingredients, That’s It
Here’s the bit we love: MYKA’s frozen yogurt is made from just five ingredients, with yogurt and goat kefir sourced directly from Greece using traditional methods. No long list of unpronounceables — just a genuinely creamy, tangy dessert that happens to be a reasonably virtuous one. Founded in 2023 by Natalia Morales and Javier Ezquerro, the brand has built a global cult following on exactly that combination of Mediterranean simplicity and indulgence.
How It Works
Pick your base first: natural Greek yogurt, mixed (the current flavour is dulce de leche, and it is very good) or sorbet. Then choose your toppings from a line-up that includes pistachio crumble, honey, olive oil, bitter orange compote, fresh berries, cacao nibs, baklava pieces, freeze-dried fruits, granola and dulce de leche drizzle – over 8,000 combinations, apparently, which should keep indecisive kids busy for a while.
If you’d rather not choose, order the MYKA Special: pistachio, bitter orange compote, honey and olive oil (HK$71.90). It’s the one to start with.
