BRINGING ARTS-BASED THERAPY & TEACHING CLOSER TOGETHER
Students at MSIS learn through a unique combination of concrete experiences such as dance, drama and music. The school offers academic subjects such as English, mathematics, science and skills development through pre-vocational training. This is coupled with group occupational and speech therapy as part of the weekly curriculum. There's also an independent living skills program that teaches students to take care of themselves and thrive every day!

TAILORED LEARNING PLANS FOR EACH STUDENT
Each student’s individual needs are considered and an Individual Learning Plan is tailored specially for them. MSIS works with both internal and external specialists to provide, as needed and wanted, occupational therapy, speech therapy, physiotherapy, psychology/social work, art therapy and music lessons. This approach enables us to more readily achieve literacy, numeracy, and living skills goals to further facilitate each student’s development.

HANDS-ON LEARNING THROUGH REAL WORLD EXPERIENCES & A SPECIALIZED ENVIRONMENT
MSIS prepares students to actively participate in their community and live as fully and as independently as possible. Students are prepared for real-world experiences like jobs that include working with food and beverages or at local businesses. The school campus itself is an environment that caters to hands-on learning and different needs of MSIS students. It houses a life skills classroom, sensory room, therapy room, gymnasium, and enclosed yards for outdoor play and sports.
