In a traditional heritage shophouse in Singapore’s Chinatown, residents and visitors alike can explore the multicultural nature of Singapore through its food with this hands-on local cooking class. Introducing participants to local street food, as well as the many spices that go into the nation’s various dishes, the three-hour experience includes a hands-on step-by-step cooking lesson, followed by communal dining where you’ll learn to prepare anything from Laksa to Hainanese Chicken Rice to Satay, with a different menu according to the day you choose to learn. The informal cooking classes delves into Singapore’s food heritage in a fun and memorable culinary morning.
Class sizes are limited, with no more than 12 people in one class, and cooking is done in pairs. Menus are refreshed every six months in case you want to return and learn something new.
Great for couples, friends, lone travelers and families - classes are suitable for children aged 7 and up.
Cooking classes take place on Mondays through Saturdays and run from 9:30am to 12:30pm.
