Ceramic pop-up shops in Hong Kong

In case you have not heard the news, folks are flocking to seriously discounted ceramic pop-up shops scattered throughout Hong Kong!  Little Steps visited the North Point and Wanchai locations but rumour has it that there are more in Causeway Bay and Mongkok.  Note, they do move around so if you spot a ceramic store closed or want to let us know about a new one – email us at editor@littlestepsasia.com.

Wanchai location:

*This is the most popular location as it is easy to get to for all.  They have a slew of fabulously bright and modern ceramic bowls, cups, and serving trays.  Prices vary from HK$7 for a bowl to HK$15-25 for a larger plate or bowl.  Mix and match or go for one theme…the bright colors are addicting. There are some CNY plant stores and a market nearby packed with festive goodies so you can make a day out of it.

*How to get there?  Exit A3 at Wan Chai MTR, 6-12 Spring Garden Lane in Wanchai (very close to Hopewell Center).

North Point location:

*A little trickier to get to but an excellent selection.  They have the same stock (if not more) than the Wanchai location and very close to the MTR.

*How to get there?  Exit B3 at North Point MTR and turn right on King’s Road.  It’s just a few stores down (very close to Bank Of China).

Happy shopping!
