Hong Kong Disneyland has just announced a major expansion and renovation project, to begin in 2018. The HK$10.9 billion undertaking will not only add Frozen and Marvel-themed zones to the attractions, but will also see Sleeping Beauty’s Castle renovated to include new shows and entertainment. Disney’s latest heroine Moana will also be introduced to the theme park. While there’s a long wait for some of these new attractions, Iron Man fans will be able to enjoy this new experience as early as January 2017.
Hong Kong Disneyland will be the first place in the world to introduce zones based on Frozen and Marvel and the characters that inhabit those stories.
Families love to visit to the different Disneylands across the globe and with world-firsts in the form of Marvel and Frozen zones, many will await with bated breath the completion of the expansion.
The expansion and upgrade is set to take six years and increase attractions from 110 to 130 by 2023.
