Hot off the press! Hong Kong is getting its own mega indoor wave pool this summer! Sponsored by financial services provider Manulife, the indoor wave pool, named Horizon Cove, will be open in all weather conditions – perfect for rainy days during typhoon season in Hong Kong! Covering a huge surface area of approximately 1,450 square meters, the pool can generate multiple wave patterns with wave heights ranging from 0.3 to 1 meters. The indoor area will also feature a huge screen and a stage for hosting shows and parties.
The opening date has been scheduled for August 2021 at the earliest, but as of now, it is unclear how close the park is to reaching that target. Additionally, ticket prices have yet to be decided, but park officials have stressed that ticket prices will be affordable. Manulife has pledged to distribute 3,000 charitable tickets to the park each year starting from 2022.
