Hong Kong Academy has announced a limited number of merit-based scholarships available for new Secondary School students transitioning into HKA from local schools from August 2022. The school continues to offer means-tested financial assistance of up to 90% for eligible families. What's more, HKA will be introducing MYP Chinese A language and literature starting in Grade 6 for the 2022-23 school year!
All Hong Kong Academy graduates can earn up to three diploma credentials: the HKA Diploma, the Global Citizen Diploma certificate, IB Diploma or IB course certificates. Hot off the press! Anjisi School is opening its doors to students in 2023 and will be located in Kam Tin. The immense 150,000 sq feet property will include a six-story building, performing arts hall, swimming pool, and much more. The construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2022. The school offers a blend of local and international curricula. The school is set to offer IB and IGCSE programs at secondary school.

Hot off the press! Shrewsbury has announced their new mascot, Darwin, a super cute corgi pup to their community in Hong Kong. Darwin (named after one of the most prominent graduates) comes from Shropshire, England, where he stayed at an independent co-educational, boarding school founded by the Royal Charter in 1552. Hot off the press! A new school is opening in the city! Dalton School Hong Kong (DSHK) is a non-profit, child-centered dual-language private independent school located in the new vibrant West Kowloon Cultural District. The school is a true dual-language school (50% English / 50% Putonghua) that follows the US Common core and Beijing Tsinghua University Primary School standards. Hong Kong will be opening its first private school providing a mainland Chinese curriculum to cater to mainland families living in the city. Hong Kong officials choose a site for the city’s first school offering a mainland Chinese curriculum, near the Hong Kong Wetland Park. Hong Kong has many international schools, but there is no mainland equivalent. The new school will offer 900 places or more and is expected to launch around the 2025-26 school year.
