Science Theatre At The Hong Kong Science Museum

Learn About Environmentalism Through Film!

The Hong Kong Science Museum is a great place for science loving kids to visit over the summer. With a focus on the pressing issue of environmental sustainability, the museum is presenting 3 films on the topic of environmentalism this summer at their Science Theatre. The films will be running all summer long an will stretch out into October.

These are the 3 films that will be played:

Jane (2017) follows the legendary primatologist Jane Goodall at her home in Africa. Screenings from 2pm to 4pm on July 3, Aug 17, Sept 8 and Oct 2

* Kingdom of the Apes: Brother against Brother (2013) follows a power struggle amongst a chimpanzee society. Screenings from 2pm to 3pm on June 19, July 28, Aug 7 & 27 and Sept 22.

Jane Goodall: China Diary (2003) documents Jane Goodall’s trip to China. Screenings from 3:15pm to 4:15pm on June 19, July 28, Aug 7 & 27 and Sept 22.

After designated screenings, there will be talks held by conservationists who can offer their expertise and first hand testimonials on the state of the environment and science. These screenings are free admission with a first come first serve policy in place. The films are narrated in English.
