Homegrown Hong Kong ice cream makers Happy Cow have opened their first store in Hong Kong University’s Student Union Building. Thanks to a successful crowdfunding campaign, the dairy-free hand-crafted ice cream manufacturers are offering a full range of flavours in the new shop, from banana and caramel swirl to chai tea, red bean to ring yang sesame, and green tea to mint chocolate chip.
Happy Cow ice cream is dairy-free, soy-free and gluten-free and contains no artificial flavours, colours or preservatives. It's freshly made in Hong Kong using coconut-based products including coconut palm sugar, which has a low glycemic index.
The lactose intolerant and the sugar sensitive, but whatever your dietary requirement Happy Cow tastes so good that if you haven't tried it yet, you're guaranteed to become a fan once you do.
Happy Cow's new store is open from 10am to 7pm on weekdays and from 12noon to 6pm on Saturdays.
