British Council’s Year-Round Study Camps

Year-Round Study Camps For Learners Aged 4-17

Holiday camps are fantastic during school breaks but are often only available during those periods. As parents, we wish that there could be camps like these at other times of the year as well. The British Council is offering just that. Year-round Study Camps designed for learners aged 4 to 17!

  • Year-round Study Camps: Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary

Year-round Study Camps are aimed at Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary students (aged 4 to 17) and are ideal for the Summer break. These camps offer a safe, exciting, and supportive international environment! Students study a different topic each day, using a unique approach of hands-on experiential learning to ignite interest and improve not only their English skills but their knowledge and awareness of the world around them. As part of social distancing measures, there will be a maximum of nine students in each camp.

What types of activities will the students do?

    - games and fun activities

    - group research projects

    - presentations

    - hands-on experiments

    - drama games

  • The Breakdown & Examples Of Weekly Topics

The course starts every Monday, year-round. Each week is a complete, stand-alone course. Students can register for as many courses as they wish.  The British Council’s Kindie Year-round Study Camp is designed for children aged 4 to 6 who are not yet readers or writers. Their daily topics they can relate to including family, animals and parties. The Primary Year-round Study Camp and the Secondary Year-round Study Camp use games, projects, drama, and communicative activities to encourage students to work together, boosting their confidence in oral communication while also developing the skills of problem-solving, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity. Topics include Superheroes and Human Body for primary and Mass Media and Cybercrime for secondary.

  • Professional & Trained Staff

The British Council firmly believes that genuine face-to-face interaction between students and the teacher is the best way to learn a language. Learn English from their experienced, friendly and internationally-qualified teachers, all of whom hold teaching qualifications such as CELTA, PGCE and even Masters. The British Council’s friendly teachers have extensive experience teaching children and create a safe, fun and supportive environment for children to learn in. They ensure that children gain confidence in communicating together in English and develop traditional academic skills alongside the skills of problem-solving, collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity.
