Visiting Hong Kong Police Museum With Kids

Explore Hong Kong's History Through Its Treasures

Hong Kong Police Museum

Tucked high on a hill near Wanchai Gap, lives a small but oh-so-interesting museum dedicated to the history of one of the oldest, yet modern police forces in the world!  The Hong Kong Police Museum makes for an outing of adventure, history, and incredible stories from Tiger tales to the Opium wars.

After climbing the stairs to this cannon-surrounded building, you will find a museum divided into four galleries featuring police uniforms complete with guns and knives, real bomb detectors, triad robes, pipes from days of the past and so much more.  Learn about Kowloon Walled City and view the famous head of the Sheung Shui tiger caught in the New Territories in 1915.

Editor’s Note: The Hong Kong Police Museum is temporarily closed for renovation until March 2022.
