    Make your free time count with the family by heading down to these new activity spots in Singapore. You and the little ones will be spoilt for choice, with just how many options there are!

    1. Singapore’s tallest outdoor play at the former Big Splash at East Coast Park is open! Boasting 4.5 hectares of several play areas catering to different age groups, this much-anticipated outdoor play area boasts magnificent slides, a water park with water jets and wading pools, plus a nature play garden for the younger ones!     2. For a taste of the sun, sand, and sea, head down to the oh-so-popular HydroDash at Sentosa. The floating water park includes 4 zones, each with different activities and challenges that will have you experiencing thrills and spills in no time!
    3. Giant slides, rock climbing, playground platforms – they’re all found at the new Adventure HQ @ HomeTeamNS Khatib. The fun doesn’t even end there, because more features will be opening in 2021, such as the giant roll glider that is suitable for both kids and adults.
    4. Arcades are the fastest form of escape into a world of fun, so bring the kids over to the newly renovated Timezone at Westgate - it’s the largest in Singapore! On top of the standard gaming machines, there are also bowling alleys and themed rooms to host birthday parties!

    Singapore is a food haven, so it’s really no surprise that there is a bevy of new cafes and restaurants popping up on our shores every month. No matter what the occasion, see where to make reservations for your brunch,  lunch, dinner, and weekend brunches!

    1. Neptune - The same folks behind Atlas, Lunar, and Columbus Coffee Co. have spread their influence to the East with their latest resto, Neptune. Serving up Japanese-inspired fare, this café is decked out in a zen-like outfit with green tiles and pretty wood finishings. Check out the hot fav Big in Japan which costs SG$16.90, and comes with grana panado scone with 3 different condiments served on its side: yuzu jam, honey mascarpone, and cold shrimp & salmon in dill sauce. Delicious!
    2. Overrice – This new halal eatery has been racking up rave reviews, and for good reason. They serve Mediterranean rice bowls with plenty of options like chicken (SG$9.90), beef (SG$10.90), and falafel (SG$9.90). Their eatery is also modeled with New York influences – worth checking out!
    3. Spuds – If there’s one food item kids and adults can both agree on, it’s fries! Spuds specializes in different, unique fries flavors, such as chili crab and pizza. They also have churros for those looking to have a sweet treat and a Unicorn Rainbow Nacho Cheese option that will excite the little ones.
    4. East Coast Commune – Eastsiders have a brand new café to visit for good food and gorgeous interior décor. Perfect for weekend brunches, their menu of delights like Big Breakfast (SG$14) will help start your day right. With the number of greenery in the dining area, it’s also great to take photos at!
    5. Guilt – For a real guilty pleasure, visit Guilt. The cookie bar is located at Arab Street, bursting with creations cheekily named after pop culture, like Fifty Shades Of Grey, an Earl Grey vanilla cookie, and Kaya Jenner, a kaya cheesecake!
    6. Haute & Cauld – Desserts are always welcome, and a new ice cream joint is none other than Haute & Cauld. Besides its clever name, get impressed by mouth-watering flavors like Pistachio Thai Milk tea and Crème Brulee. The ice cream and waffles combos start from SG$12, great for sharing.

    A new year signifies new family-friendly events to look forward to! From museum exhibitions to sports competitions and even boarding an old-school train, here’s how you can spend your weekends and free days with your little one.

    3. Changi Airport presents an immersive experience of Times Square-inspired world of Hershey’s Chocolate at Terminal 3 (T3) Basement 2! Customize a Hershey’s Bucket of Happiness (SG$9.90) and fill with Hershey’s Reese’s and Hershey’s Kisses chocolates, including three new-to-Changi flavors — Hershey’s Kisses filled with yogurt, strawberry, and hazelnut.     4.     6. To get a little more in touch with the Singaporean heritage, visit the Singapo人 permanent exhibition at Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre. There are interactive games, multiple zones, and visually engaging setups for all ages!
