Crafts on Peel is Hong Kong’s creative hub that connects traditional craftsmen with contemporary artisans. This venue is brand new and located in a historic walk-up in Central.
At this opening exhibition, six contemporary artisans will join hands with local traditional craftsmen to explore ways in which traditional crafts and techniques can be reinterpreted and perpetuated in a contemporary artistic context. Together they have put together unique handmade artifacts that will be put on display alongside featured works by Canton porcelain painter Lam Duen Shan Ming and fashion designer Polly Ho!
The collaborative works on display will include bamboo framework crafting, paper-marché, birdcage crafting, and even copperware crafting! This is a fantastic opportunity for the family to enjoy the local, innovative art scene.
