Hong Kong’s beloved matcha specialists, Matchali, have expanded from their first location on Moon Street, Wan Chai, to a brand-new store on Lyndhurst Terrace, Central, officially opening on 24 December 2025. This vibrant green storefront offers a peaceful escape, perfect for a quick breakfast, lunch, or an afternoon matcha date.
Designed by Brash Atelier, the cozy space features natural wood, tile, and stone, with eight bar seats and an outdoor bench. If you’re dining in, the bar counter seating makes it ideal for solo diners or pairs, while the outdoor bench offers a relaxing spot to pause and enjoy your matcha.
From nourishing breakfast bowls to satisfying lunch options, the menu is packed with health-conscious, matcha-infused delights. Highlights include:
- Matcha Chia Granola Yogurt
- Matcha Overnight Oats
- Soft-Boiled Egg & Avocado Toast (HK$95)
- Green Tea Soba Salad (HK$115)
- Kitsune Udon (HK$108)
Exclusive to Lyndhurst Terrace is the Banana Bread Matcha Latte (HK$63), a rich, creamy drink combining ripe banana and ceremonial-grade matcha. Other must-tries include the Spanish Matcha Latte (from HK$58), layered with condensed milk for a luxuriously sweet experience. Seasonal offerings like the Apple Pie Matcha Latte and White Chocolate Matcha Latte add festive warmth to the menu, making it the perfect spot for a holiday treat.
In addition to its café offerings, Matchali sells ceremonial-grade matcha powders and beautifully crafted matcha sets, making it easy to enjoy the ritual at home.
