YMCA Camping has some wonderful Christmas Camps lined up for you this winter break. YMCA Camping is committed to providing children with positive character building experiences that help develop them into the leaders of tomorrow. At all of their camps, highly trained and passionate camp leaders teach and demonstrate the YMCA’s 4 Core Values – Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility – through games, arts, activities, discussions, and leadership.

FULL-DAY ADVENTURE CAMPS: for children ages 5-7 starting 8:30am-4:30pm

1. Jungle Adventure Camps – a mixture of games and other camp activities. Ages 5-6 runs from December 20-21 & December 26-28.

2. “Children’s Classics” Day Camp – campers will not just read or listen, but experience the stories through mass games, drama, arts & craft, and an out-trip! Ages 5-7 runs from December 26-28.

FULL-DAY EXPLORER CAMP: for children ages 7-9 starting 8:30am – 4:30pm

1. Explorer Day Camp – where campers will enjoy a wide range of activities, from Art Project to Sports Climbing, from Master Chef to out-trips. Ages 7-9 runs from December 20-21 & December 26-28.

FULL-DAY SPECIALITY CAMPS: for children ages 5-11 from 8:30am – 4:30pm

1. Science Day Camp – This camp aims to help campers discover the fun and excitement of science by doing different experiments and science projects. Ages 6-8 runs from December 21-23.

2. Nature Detective Day Camp – Little campers will learn about sea creatures and animals, investigate the life cycle of plants and participate in fascinating nature-oriented programmes. Campers are going on three out-trips to SPCA, Ocean Park and Hong Kong New Sight-Seeing Point Development Centre for animal feeding. Ages 6-8 runs from December 26-28.

3. Cookery Day Camp – Campers will learn to make different dishes. Equip yourself to become an all-rounded chef, learn different skills from nutrition value to dishes decoration.  Ages 8-11 runs from December 24-25.

4. Mechanic Motion Day Camp – Through building different types of vehicles; young campers will start their journey to explore the different physics principles of motion and energy. Ages 7-9 runs from December 26-28.

5. Supreme Science Day Camp – Learning physics, chemistry and biology through different hands-on science projects and workshops. Ages 9-11 runs from December 26-28.

6. Junior Creative Arts Day Camp – This camp encourages everyone to think outside the box and imagine. Using clay, paper mache and wool, campers will create art pieces to rebuild the theme story (The Lighthouse Keeper’s Christmas). Ages 5-7 runs from December 24-25.

FULL-DAY SPORTS CAMPS: for children ages 6-13

1. All Star Sports Day Camp – Kids will do sports such as basketball, soccer, sports climbing, dodge ball and more! Ages 7-9 runs from December 21-23 & 26-28 from 8:30am to 4:30pm.

2. Summit Sports Day Camp – For the adventurous sporty type who wants to engage in tree climbing, archery, and rope course. Ages 9-13 runs from December 21-23 from 9am to 4:30pm.

3. Ice Skating Day Camp – It is the season for it, after all, little skaters will be gliding around at The Rink in Elements, TST. Ages 6-8 runs from December 26-28 from 9am to 4:30pm.

4. Outdoor Fun Day Camp – Geared for the outdoorsy kid, who loves hiking, orienteering and rock climbing! Ages 8-11 runs from December 26-28 from 9am to 4:30pm.

RESIDENTIAL & TENTING CAMPS: for children ages 7-14.

1. Junior Residential Camp – This programme is carefully designed to ease all kids into their first trip away from home which can be an overwhelming experience. Ages 7-8 runs from December 22-23 from 9am Assembly and Dismissal at 3:30 on the last day.

2. Ultimate Residential Camp – This co-ed camp offers a variety of classic camp activities like camp games, archery, sports activities, art & craft, treasure hunt, Y Olympics, night walk and night games. Ages 8-12 runs from December 27-29 from 9am Assembly and Dismissal at 3:30 on the last day.

3. Overnight Tenting Camp – Kids will be doing the classic camping activities such as learning how to pitch a tent, toasting marshmallow at the campfire, sharing stories under the stars, exploring what nature has to offer! This camping trip also develops independence, self-confidence, teamwork, adaptation skills, and appreciation of the outdoors. Ages 8-11 runs from December 22-23 from 9am Assembly and Dismissal at 3:30 on the last day.

NEW YEARS COUNTDOWN PARTY: for children ages 7-14

Last but not least there is also the New Years Countdown Party where campers will be counting down to the New year with games, pizza party, and watching firework is a special way to celebrate. Campers will stay overnight at YMCA Salisbury Hotel and participate a City Hunt on the New Year Day! Ages 7-14 runs from December 31-01 from 8pm – 3:30pm.
