In today’s globalized world, parents are recognising the advantages of multilingualism. They understand that an English-Chinese education can provide their children with enhanced communication abilities, broader cultural perspectives, and better career prospects. These parents actively seek out bilingual programs to give their children a competitive advantage. EtonHouse is an expert in multilingual education, having nurtured cohorts of fluent bilingual speakers, many non-native Mandarin speakers.

It offers two programs in Pre-School to help students build a strong Mandarin foundation. For parents seeking intensive Mandarin language education in the early years, EtonHouse Zhong Hua was one of the first childcare centres in Singapore to introduce an inquiry-based curriculum delivered exclusively in Mandarin. Due to its popularity, the program was expanded to the Robertson Walk, Newton and Mountbatten 718 campuses, and will be introduced at the Upper Bukit Timah campus where Founding Families will enjoy additional discounts off its first-year school fees.
Children spend most of the school day listening, speaking, reading and writing in Mandarin, which is essential for a sustainable language foundation in the early years. This exclusive language exposure provides children with a focused Mandarin-speaking environment that may not be available at home. The curriculum follows an inquiry-based approach, making learning enjoyable, engaging and meaningful.
Alternatively, you may choose a bilingual program where two qualified teachers (one Mandarin speaker and one English speaker) deliver the program. This offers children the opportunity to listen and communicate in both languages over time.
In Primary, children can join EtonHouse Broadrick’s award-winning Bilingual Immersion Program, designed to cultivate truly bilingual, culturally competent, and internationally-minded students by Year 6. The curriculum places equal emphasis on developing essential reading, writing, and speaking skills, as well as helping children grasp the broader applications of language. Its Year 5 and 6 students scored an average of 85% in their Level 4 Youth Chinese Test results, a strong testament to the program’s effectiveness.
