3 Best Sixth Form Pathways At NAIS Hong Kong: IB, A-Levels & BTEC

Flexible University Prep In Hung Hom (And How To Choose)

Updated: September 13, 2026

Class 2026 Graduation Hall Nord Anglia Hong Kong

Choosing a Sixth Form in Hong Kong just got more interesting. Nord Anglia International School Hong Kong opened its purpose-built Sixth Form Centre in Hung Hom in August 2026, giving Year 12 and Year 13 students a rare choice under one roof: IBDP, A-Levels, or BTEC.

The Class of 2026 set a strong marker before the move, posting a 35.5 IB average, a 100% pass rate, and a perfect 45 from one student. If your teen is mapping medicine, engineering, the arts, or a more practical route, this is the year to walk the new campus and match the pathway to the student — not the other way around.

The Scoop On NAIS Hong Kong Sixth Form

  • A brand-new Hung Hom campus. The Sixth Form Centre opened in August 2026 on the 5/F of Harbourfront Landmark, 11 Wan Hoi Street. Science labs, a serious library, communal study spaces, a fitness suite, and a light-filled hall that flips from gallery to stage sit in one senior-only building.
  • Three recognized pathways, one admissions team. Students pick IBDP for breadth, A-Levels for depth, or BTEC for practical, career-focused study. That mix is still unusual in Hong Kong and lets families delay the IB-versus-A-Level decision until Year 12.
  • Results parents can check. After remarks, the final 2026 IBDP cohort averaged 35.5 points against a global mean of 30.88. One student scored 45, three scored 44, one scored 43, and 25% landed 40 or above. The pass rate was 100%.
  • Fees and extras for 2026-27. Year 12–13 tuition is HK$237,200. A HK$3,000 application fee applies. New students may also pay a HK$35,000 Annual Capital Levy, subject to EDB approval. Public exam fees sit outside tuition.
  • Applications stay open. Tours and assessments run year-round. Offers typically follow within two weeks. A Sixth Form Scholarship Programme recognizes academics, leadership, and community involvement for current and new students.

NAIS HONG KONG: Three Pathways For Years 12 And 13

Every student is wired differently, which is why the NAIS Hong Kong Sixth Form Centre now runs three internationally recognized routes side by side.

    • What Students Love? They can pick breadth, depth, or a practical route without changing schools — and they are treated more like undergraduates than Year 11s.

Teachers and counselors help families match the route to strengths, energy, and likely destinations in the UK, Hong Kong, Australia, Singapore, and beyond. Applications stay open through the year, so you can tour first and decide with a clear head.

3 Pathways At Nord Anglia Hong Kong Sixth Form:

    • IBDP keeps six subjects plus Theory of Knowledge, the Extended Essay, and CAS — strong for teens who like inquiry and want a wide university map.
    • A-Levels go deep into three or four subjects, which suits medicine, engineering, economics, and other degrees that require specialist proof.
    • BTEC combines coursework and real-world projects for students who thrive when learning looks like work, not just an exam hall.

HUNG HOM SIXTH FORM CENTRE: A Senior Campus With Room To Grow

The new centre is built only for ages 16 to 18. Walk out of the lift at Harbourfront Landmark, and the tone changes: quieter corridors, longer work blocks, and spaces that expect students to manage their own time. See the campus details on the Hung Hom Sixth Form Centre page.

The Scoop On The New Campus:

    • A senior-only site in Hung Hom, so Year 12 and 13 are not sharing every corridor with younger year groups.
    • Labs, library, fitness suite, and a convertible hall cover study, sport, and performance without a cross-harbour dash at lunch.
    • The university-style layout helps teens practice independence while still having teachers on the same floor.
    • Small classes and UK-qualified (or equivalent) teachers keep the mentoring close. That matters in the first term, when IB CAS hours, A-Level pacing, or BTEC project deadlines can pile up faster than a teen expects.

NORD ANGLIA NETWORK: Teachers, Partners, And First-Choice Offers

NAIS Hong Kong is one school within a much larger map. Students join a Nord Anglia community of more than 90 schools, 30-plus countries, and over 90,000 peers.

    • Exclusive collaborations with MIT, Juilliard, UNICEF and IMG Academy sit on top of everyday teaching — STEAM challenges, performance work, social-impact projects, and sports coaching that reach beyond a standard Sixth Form timetable.

Teachers are subject specialists with UK Qualified Teacher Status or an equivalent qualification. Many hold master’s degrees. The pitch from families who already know the school is consistent: students are known by name, stretched when they are ready, and pointed toward universities that fit.

    What Sets It Apart?

    • Partnerships: Global Campus projects and name-brand partners (MIT, Juilliard, UNICEF, IMG) give Sixth Formers work they can actually talk about in interviews.
    • Top Universities: NAIS reports that 100% of graduates receive offers from first-choice universities, with recent destinations including Cambridge, Imperial, UCL, King’s College London, Edinburgh, Melbourne, NUS, HKU, and HKUST.
    • Scholarships: A Sixth Form Scholarship Programme, launched with the Hung Hom centre, is open to current and new students and recognizes excellence in academics, leadership, and community involvement. Ask admissions for current criteria when you enquire — awards change with each cycle.
